The role of Field CTO is a customer-facing role aligned to work with our most strategic or enterprise customers and prospects on their IT transformations and enterprise business architecture. Working alongside our sales and presales team, the Field CTO will effectively realize strategic sales opportunities with account teams by enabling customers to translate their business strategy into a technology vision and roadmap to deliver on their business outcomes.

This will require a solid Enterprise Architecture experience and an ability to advise Financial Service industry customers on their IT transformation especially on the Storage front, customer experience and cloud adoption.

The Field CTO is a thought leading expert who articulates and communicates Pure’s technical vision and strategic direction, thereby assisting our customers to optimize their Data and Storage infrastructure.

SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE…

  • Data and Storage Architecture & Strategy leadership - You will be aligned to a set of strategic accounts and required to own the architecture vision and strategy.
  • In collaboration with the sales account team, you will be required to support account and opportunity planning.
  • Become a trusted advisor to Financial Services CIO/CTO & Key Decision Maker and their teams as they look to transform their business
  • Understand the customer’s business strategy and technology needs; identifying the key capabilities and technology enablers required to support these.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to our sales and presales resources on strategic opportunities.
  • Participate in the delivery of solution best practices, reference architectures, educational sessions and industry summits to existing customers, partners and to internal audiences.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

  • 10+ years experience as technology executive for or with Financial Services organizations with responsibilities for technology strategy and architecture
  • Experience in enterprise architecture principles and tools of the Financial Services industry. 
  • A perspective on the use of data within the Financial Services industry, both challenges and value, and the ability to provide thought leadership in this space.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent work experience in virtualization, containerization, cloud , modern apps, or data science.
  • Multi-year experience in software vendor or enterprise architecture disciplines
  • Proven experience in creating, selling or implementing technology-based solutions
  • Ability to communicate the business value of technology decisions
  • Ability to operate as an effective tactical as well as strategic thinker and team leader
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively interface with senior management, board of directors and staff.
  • Must be willing and able to work in an open office, team environment.

You will be based in New York. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 3 days a week. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.

The annual base salary range is: $214,000-342,000. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
