This role works in close alignment with the sales and marketing teams to drive MongoDB’s value proposition and go-to-market strategy supporting sales. You’ll own relationships across MongoDB’s marketing and sales network to ensure we are positioned to access, leverage, and collaborate effectively while executing our yearly plan. 

You will monitor results of field marketing programs that generate new prospects and advance existing opportunities and work closely with other teams to develop and share best practices and industry trends across marketing.

This role requires travel of up to 30% and is available remote in Germany or hybrid in one of our German office Hubs (Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart or Berlin) and will report into the Field Marketing Lead for Central Europe. 

Candidate Profile

Our ideal candidate for this role will have the following

  • 4+ years experience in Field Marketing with account management, event and marketing experience in a technology company
  • Demonstration of a metrics-driven approach to success and can show Return on Investment (ROI) by tracking results from funded/co-marketing activity against budget
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Salesforce experience a plus
  • Problem solving skills
  • Time management, prioritization, and organizational skills are key
  • Ability to shift priorities and help other team members as needed
  • Experience in managing and developing a team  
Position Expectations
  • Own the relationship with Regional Sales Managers and closely align our plans with their top business priorities 
  • Advocate for the priorities of your territories within the global marketing org to ensure you get support and resources where needed to successfully drive the region forward 
  • Work in close collaboration with the partner marketing team to amplify our programs via partner co-marketing
  • Understand the needs of the market and develop programs and campaigns to drive top of funnel awareness and bottom funnel conversions
  • Understand specific challenges of strategic accounts, discover the decision-making process and key personas in the organization to support programming
  • Create and execute a marketing plan that delivers significant inbound, qualified leads and pipeline growth to hit targets
  • Work with events team to coordinate local programs and enable the sales team to make the most of them 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams when crafting integrated marketing campaigns
  • Work closely with the xDR teams to ensure rigorous follow up of all marketing leads across your region 
  • Communicate and educate the sales team regarding new and planned marketing activities including global, regional, and local programs
  • Ensure performance and return on investment are supervised, supporting processes set up to optimally measure outcomes
  • Coordinate MongoDB sponsored trade shows, events and digital programs from end to end
  • Analyze and provide insights on campaign performance and propose any improvements needed
Success Measures

The Field Marketing Manager will be successful in this role when they can execute the following strategic tasks/responsibilities

  • In 3 months you’ll have fostered a relationship with your Regional Sales Managers, understand their top target accounts, and begin planning field marketing opportunities
  • In 6 months you’ll have a clear understanding of your key objectives, have executed on campaigns, and suggested inputs to the existing marketing plan
  • In 12 months you’ll have fostered relationship across internal MongoDB teams and have executed both strategic programs, co-produced partner events leveraging the MongoDB partnership ecosystem, created an integrated plan in region, maintain maintain flawless documentation and reporting of all programs to ensure success, and have a stake in future programming
