Field Service Engineer

The main purpose of this role is to provide technical support for Seeing Machines products, particularly in a field environment. In doing so the Field Service Engineer will be responsible for:
- Installation of products into customer vehicles and equipment
- Training of customer and sub-contracted installers in accordance with the SM training processes and procedures
- Contribute to the Quality Assurance of SM hardware products
- Configuration and field testing of products
- After sales technical support including fault finding, warranty and maintenance support
- Contribute to the ongoing review and production of Seeing Machines technical documents and publications
- Provide advice and assistance to the Operations Team in the conduct of technical training• Assist Operations Account Manager to schedule installations in accordance with operational requirements

Key Responsibilities:
- Installing SM product into client vehicles, often in remote locations and after hours.
- Providing written reports pre and post install
- Supervising, training and advising contracted installers and technicians
- Technical support and fault diagnosis on installed systems
- Remote fault detection and remediation
- Contribute to development and maintenance of written technical problems
- Quality control over installations
- Ensure installations are conducted safely
- Coordinating individual travel arrangements
You must hold a valid passport and a non-provisional Driver's License. You must be an EU resident and speak multiple languages (Dutch, English and French/German)
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite of products
- Electrical or auto electrical trade qualification
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent)
- Practical understanding of network technology
- Demonstrated technical and fault-finding skills
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Excellent customer service and support skills
- Prior vehicle installation experience
- Willing to travel at short notice and operate in remote locations and for long days (must be prepared to be drug and alcohol tested prior to attending customers’ sites, customer request)
