Okta is searching for a Field Solutions Marketer (FSM) for our Public Sector market. An ideal candidate is an experienced marketer with deep domain expertise in challenges facing the Public Sector: IT modernization & cloud adoption, cybersecurity & Zero Trust maturity, compliance mandates, digital transformation, and fraud defense.
The mission: As an FSM, your mission is to inform, inspire, and delight government and educational organizations to use Okta as the identity provider for their internal and customer-facing apps.
You're not alone: To accomplish the mission, you act as a go-to-market specialist, helping our demand marketing organization in core domains:
- Tailored messaging: Drive compelling messaging and thought leadership through deep domain expertise in the Public Sector and Identity & Access Management market
- Content creation: Support public sector demand generation efforts by developing engaging content that encourages prospective and existing customers to partner with Okta.
- Think globally: Scale Public Sector demand marketing content and thought leadership programs to global markets.
- Strategic planning: Contribute to and assist with the Public Sector go-to-market plan and ensure it aligns with global KPIs..
- Collaborate: Cross-functional interaction within the organization, working alongside industry product marketing, campaign marketing, sales, alliances, customer marketing, enablement, analyst relations, public relations, customer success, and government affairs teams.
- Enablement: Partner with enablement and industry product marketing to educate our Public Sector sellers and partners.
What you will bring:

- Deep understanding of Public Sector missions, regulations, programs, and challenges
- Background in cybersecurity and Identity & Access Management
- 5+ years of combined experience in tech practitioner roles (i.e. Sales Engineering, Technical Consultant) or go-to-market roles (Product Marketing Manager)
- Proven ability to engage with technical and leadership audiences alike, building empathy, understanding their unique challenges and motivations, and demonstrating the value of our products
- A problem-solver mentality, comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Extra points if you have:
- Experience in both tech practitioner and go-to-market roles
- Proven track record and success in testing and scaling marketing channels like email, digital, web, sponsored newsletters, influencer marketing
- Passion, energy, and curiosity to learn fast, experiment, and drive positive changes.
This position requires the ability to access federal environments and/or have access to protected federal data. As a condition of employment for this position, the successful candidate must be able to submit documentation establishing U.S. Citizen status upon hire, and remain living in the U.S.

Below is the annual On Target Compensation (OTE) range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual OTE, which is inclusive of base salary and incentive compensation, will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable) and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual OTE range for this position for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$103,000—$155,000 USDWhat you can look forward to as an Full-Time Okta employee!
