Finance Analyst  The Challenge 

We are a leading company in the gambling industry, providing cutting-edge technology and entertainment solutions across Latin America. We are looking for a highly motivated Finance Analyst to join our team to support financial operations, data management, and reporting across the region.

The Finance Analyst LATAM will play a key role in assisting in the execution of financial processes , ensuring accuracy in financial data, and supporting the financial decision-making process. This position will work closely with the Financial Controller - LATAM and other stakeholders in Latin America and central TEAM to analyze financial data, perform reconciliations, manage budget and accounting controls, and support ERP-related activities.

A Flavour of what you will be doing
  • Financial Data Management & Analysis:Manage and analyze financial data from multiple sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. This includes compiling, validating, and organizing financial data for internal and external reporting purposes.
  • Reconciliations and Financial Closing:Perform regular financial reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy across accounts. Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring all entries are accurate and compliant with company policies.
  • Budget Control & Forecasting:Develop and maintain detailed budget controls to monitor expenditures across departments. Support the preparation of budgets and budget variance analysis, ensuring that actual spending aligns with the company's and group’s financial goals and forecasts. Identify potential budget overruns and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Accounting Control:Ensure accurate and compliant accounting practices in line with GAAP and IFRS standards. Monitor financial transactions to guarantee that they are recorded in the correct accounts, within the correct reporting periods, and with the correct tax treatments.
  • Navision ERP System Management:Act as a key user for Navision ERP within the finance department, ensuring efficient use of the system for financial transactions, data migration, and reporting. Support troubleshooting and system enhancements to optimize ERP performance.
  • Financial KPIs & Reporting:Prepare, analyze, and report on key financial indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, expenses, operating margins, and other performance metrics to support strategic decision-making.
  • Database and Spreadsheet Management:Develop and maintain complex financial databases and Excel models for tracking key financial metrics. This includes designing and automating reports to improve efficiency in financial reporting processes.
  • Local Regulatory Reporting & Compliance:Monitor and ensure timely submission of all financial reports required by local regulatory entities (such as tax authorities, gaming commissions, and financial regulators) in the LATAM region. Ensure all reports are accurate, comply with local laws, and meet the deadlines imposed by regulatory bodies.
  • Financial Planning & Forecasting:Support the finance team with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis to align with company financial goals. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data trends.
  • Internal Controls & Compliance:Ensure that all financial processes comply with internal controls, local accounting regulations, and company policies. Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and insights.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:Collaborate with finance, accounting, operations, and IT teams across the LATAM region to ensure the alignment of financial data and processes. Assist in providing financial support for new projects or system implementations.
  • Process Improvement & Automation:Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in financial reporting and data management to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Proactively suggest changes to financial processes based on business needs.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis & Reporting:Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives or respond to requests from management and other stakeholders. Provide detailed financial insights when needed for specific projects or decisions.
You’re good at:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in finance roles within multinational environments, preferably in the gambling or technology sectors.
  • Proficiency in Navision ERP or similar ERP systems, with strong skills in ERP implementation, data extraction, and system optimization.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with expertise in functions like VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros, and data visualization tools.
  • Optinal  knowledge of database management (e.g., SQL, Power BI) to handle and analyze large datasets.
  • Experience in financial reconciliations and financial close processes.
  • Expertise in tracking, analyzing, and reporting financial KPIs and creating automated financial dashboards.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and IFRS standards, including experience in creating compliant financial reports.
  • Experience in budget control and variance analysis, as well as ensuring accounting controls are properly implemented.
  • Familiarity with local regulatory reporting requirements in LATAM, including tax and gaming-related regulations.
  • Fluent in both Spanish and English (written and spoken) for effective communication across Latin America and central TEAM.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with the capability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Must Experience with process automation in financial reporting and reconciliation using tools like Python, Power BI, or similarKnowledge of Latin American tax regulations and financial reporting requirements.
