🍋 This is how you’ll change the way people eat forever

We are looking for a Financial & Business Controller to support our Marketing, COGS, Production, and Logistics teams. This role is ideal for a finance professional with a strong accounting foundation and a passion for leveraging data and technical skills to drive business performance. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring financial discipline within the business functions and providing insightful analysis.

Reporting to the Associate Director Accounting and Controlling, you will collaborate with senior leadership, marketing, operations, and FP&A to maintain financial integrity while identifying opportunities for growth.

In this role, you'll act as a key financial liaison, directly supporting business functions. You'll be responsible for more than just reporting; you'll be embedded within the team, using your technical expertise to understand and influence the drivers of costs — particularly relating to Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), production, logistics, and marketing spend. Your ability to work with scripts and data tables will be essential in extracting, analyzing, and presenting complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.

🥑 This is how you’ll make an impact

  • Partner with business functions and FP&A to monitor and control budgets and forecasts for marketing spend, COGS, production, and logistics.
  • Analyze profitability, cost optimization, and financial performance metrics, utilizing technical skills (e.g., SQL, Python, Excel VBA).
  • Provide insights on inventory management, pricing, and business operations trends.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations for relevant P&L accounts, such as inventory, ensuring data integrity and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis within business functions.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Proactively identify and investigate significant variances against budget and forecast; collaborate with FP&A to provide clear explanations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Contribute to the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all operational costs are accurately reflected.
  • Execute ad-hoc projects as necessary.

🍉 These are the ingredients you’ll bring to the team

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with a strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices (IFRS).
  • Background in online retail or inventory-based industries is a plus.
  • Proven technical proficiency with data manipulation and analysis tools, such as SQL, Python, R, or advanced Excel (VBA). Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Fluency in English (Dutch is a plus but not required).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Excellent communication skills: fluent in English, with the ability to effectively collaborate with local and central teams and present financial insights to stakeholders at all levels — from Global C-suite to local operational level.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
