As a Finance Data and Reporting Senior Analyst within our global Financial Reporting team, you will play a central role in the creation of the self-serve analytical tools aimed to standardise the analysis of the organisation's financials and reconcile them against multiple internal reports.

You will be an integral part in designing processes and ways of working aimed to maximise the usage of the financial ledger to support our reporting needs in close collaboration with both Financial Managers and Engineers. You will report to the Senior Finance Analytics Manager and will be focused on all aspects of ensuring the financial reporting systems are working correctly. 

You will be based in HQ (London, Cannon Street) we're operating on a hybrid model and you will be in the office 3 days a week.

What you will do

  • Automation: Perform month end close activities and identify areas where these can be automated or efficiency added. Create tools for the wider team to self-serve their audit and financial reporting needs.

  • Data Discovery and Engagement: Identify and test the relevant data from multiple data sources. Exercise advanced knowledge of Alteryx to extract critical information and value from data contained in multiple databases and formats. Help automate the main definitions into a single source of truth.

  • Documentation: Create documentation around both existing and newly introduced processes.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in a similar finance/analytics position.

  • Work with large and interlinked datasets to make balanced decisions.

  • Experience building datasets (in Alteryx) to support a variety of analytical needs (2+ years).

  • Willingness to have a diverse set of tasks, take responsibility, and ‘own’ your work.

  • Finance/accounting experience but not required.

  • Advanced user of Alteryx. SQL experience is welcomed.
