About the role: What's in the Box
As the Director of Finance for the DACH region, you will be a core member of the market’s Executive Leadership Team (CLT), serving as the financial custodian and strategic co-pilot to the business. You will own the full P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow for the region, driving the end-to-end financial planning process. This is a strategic yet hands-on leadership role, requiring a strong blend of technical expertise, people management, and influencing skills to maximize profit and champion value creation across a complex network of stakeholders.
What you’ll do: The Recipe- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and mentor a high-performing team of Finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement while setting the strategic objectives for the local Finance function.
- Partner with the Business: Function as the primary Finance Business Partner to the DACH and Global CLT, utilizing financial insights to influence critical business decisions, ensure profit maximization, and develop the mid- to long-term strategic plan for the region.
- Financial Planning & Reporting: Orchestrate the end-to-end financial planning and forecasting (FP&A) process, delivering board-level financial reporting and strategic insights that translate complex data into clear, actionable business recommendations.
- Operational Ownership: Oversee the daily operations of DACH Accounting, Controlling, FP&A, and Finance BI, acting as the accountable owner for all internal and external financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and HGB.
- Cost Management: Establish and maintain the weekly cost management and reporting framework, continuously optimizing structures for enhanced data integrity, efficiency, and real-time decision support for the DACH business.
- Global Alignment: Serve as a key interface to global shared service functions (Tax, Treasury, AP) and work with the Global Finance team to expand and apply best practices across the finance and control landscape.
- Leadership Experience: Multiple years of progressive leadership experience, ideally within a matrix organization and across multiple Finance domains, demonstrating strong and consistent values.
- Executive Collaboration: Proven experience in managing C-level stakeholders at both the local and global level, with the ability to communicate and present critical, highly complex information effectively to all levels.
- Financial Expertise: Highly fluent in P&Ls, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements, able to explain dynamics and risk throughout the organization.
- Business Impact: A proven, tangible track record of contributing to a large business’s profitability and growth performance.
- Domain Knowledge: Exceptional understanding of supply chain and marketing dynamics within a Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) business context.
- Budgeting & Systems: Extensive experience with large-scale budgeting and business planning, and fluency in financial systems and processes with a strong focus on efficiency.
