The role

The Finance Manager - HelloFresh AU & EveryPlate is responsible for the day-to-day financial management of both Australian-based meal kit brands. This position has managerial responsibilities for four direct reports (2x accountants, 2x senior accountants). 

Reporting to the Director of Finance ANZ, the role serves as the main focal point for all financial and business partner relations for HelloFresh AU & EveryPlate. This role requires a detailed-oriented efficient problem solver that is able to manage and effectively delegate tasks/queries with a key focus and accountability of ensuring the continued financial strength of the two meal kit brands.

What you’ll do
  • Responsible for the efficient and accurate month end close, monthly board pack & commentary preparation, review & submission with the autonomous management of a team of four direct reports
  • Serve as the central point of communication for all business partner relations and local finance queries. Ensure that individual maintains a strong understanding and depth of knowledge of all brand inner workings including but not limited to appropriate application of IFRS, finance processes & operations, performance KPI’s & drivers, commercial understanding and the ability to lead adhoc projects.
  • Take ownership of particular elements of the quarterly budget submissions for operations, marketing and G&A line items while working collaboratively with finance and non-finance senior leaders to ensure all generated assumptions/mechanics are finalised on time and of the quality required.
  • Proactively identify and act on new/on-going areas of opportunity through both finance and non-finance operational efficiencies, process improvements, and cost savings opportunities.
  • Effectively lead and mentor a team of four to support their continued development, by supporting prioritisation, allocation of work, OKR management and ongoing discussions and focus on the teams Personal Development Plans (PDP’s).
  • Be a key point of contact for our German based head office on system, process and technical accounting changes that may arise, joining calls, providing support and continually developing a strong working relationship with our German counterparts
  • Assist Financial partners with ad-hoc special projects, data analysis, and process improvements for other brands including but not limited to HelloFresh New Zealand and BeCool
What you’ll bring
  • Accounting & commercial finance background (CA/CPA or equivalent preferred), with a strong commercial acumen
  • 4 Years+ experience with 1+ of those having direct reports
  • Great analytical, communication and managerial skills
  • Excellent attention to detail with proven experience as a highly analytical problem solver
  • Lead the improvement of Internal control frameworks, process improvements & optimisation
  • Senior stakeholder management and relationship building
