Databricks is looking for an outstanding Finance Manager to join our FP&A team in our mission to help data teams solve the world's toughest problems. In this unique role, you will be the strategic data and analytics lead for the go-to-market (GTM) finance team supporting multiple teams such as the Technical Field organization, Marketing, Customer Success, IR, & Professional Services.
As a finance professional who has experienced hyper-growth, you will work independently, have deep experience in data querying, analysis, and system improvements to achieve scale, and you can build analyses and predictive models. Gathering and curating the proper data and building an easy-to-understand narrative are skills important to success in this role. Further, we value the ability to methodically approach new challenges. You will partner directly with other members of the GTM finance leadership team and work directly with the business to improve outcomes.
The impact you will have:
- Analytically solve problems with the ability gather and summarize large amounts of data to lead efficient executive decision-making; Lead the end-to-end recommendation process
- Nurture deep, trusted partnerships with Commercialization, Sales, Field Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, Services, Accounting, IT, Business Operations, and their respective technical teams
- Find creative solutions for data challenges and be able to communicate with easy-to-understand narratives and presentations
- Build financial and operational models helping us be more data-driven in capacity planning and understanding resource allocation
- Pioneer the implementation of a comprehensive tracking system to monitor and analyze the impact of key GTM initiatives such as Demand Generation spend & Customer Incentives
- Establish a streamlined process to effectively track and manage our customer incentive program spend, ensuring transparency and efficiency in budget allocation and utilization
- Develop repeatable reporting and analyses, driving relevant insights (such as customer cohort models, return-on-investment frameworks, funnel analysis, top-line and bottom-line metrics)
- Guide process improvement, standardization, simplification, install proper controls and reporting enhancements
- Be the main analytics partner for the GTM Finance leadership by understanding the business challenges and creating necessary dashboards or standardized reports to guide relevant business decisions
What we look for:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, IT, or equivalent quantitative field
- 8+ years or equivalent tenure from related positions in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or data analytics teams
- Experience working with and having an understanding of SaaS revenue models, related revenue recognition and SaaS metrics desired, especially in high-growth environments
- Business Partnership: Experience using quantitative analysis to improve important decisions, especially across GTM organizations
- Proven manager with the ability to recruit, retain, and develop top talent
- Financial Modeling: Be able to understand and update financial models that follow industry best practices. Can maintain complex spreadsheets). Expertise in Google Sheets a plus.
- Data Analysis: Experience with understanding business questions and making data-driven insights. Excellent analytical skills. SQL & Python experience is required (Case will be assigned as part of interview process)
- Communication: Ability to present financial data using detailed reports, charts, and narratives
- Experience with GAAP and non-GAAP financial metrics, especially around revenue accounting
- High competency with systems such as Anaplan, Netsuite, Salesforce, Coupa, or Workday.

Pay Range Transparency
Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
