This position is a hybrid in-office role that works out of our Boston HQ. Monday-Thursday will be working in office and Friday is WFH. This is not a virtual / remote position.

About this role: 

Wayfair is looking for a financial leader to manage our OPEX spend planning and reporting processes (including compensation and third party spend). The individual will lead a team of three to four analysts. In this role, you will partner with ~40 senior leaders in the Wayfair organization and support them in managing their compensation and outsourced labor spend against the quarterly spend targets. In addition, you will own the overall OPEX cost planning as part of Wayfair’s quarterly planning and forecasting cycle. You will coordinate the monthly actuals reporting both to your stakeholders and within the finance organization and will own the rolling forecast preparation for your area. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to drive monthly planning, reporting and analyses of spent vs targets. 
  • Coordinate the global quarterly forecasting process for OPEX spend.
  • Lead month-end and quarter-end close forecast to actuals variance analysis and review.
  • Drive delivery of and improvement in all internal management reporting through automation and AI, reporting visualization and enabling of self-serve stakeholder capabilities.
  • Attract, develop and retain a high-performing finance team.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree (in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting Information Systems or related field preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis / strategic finance and/or compensation, talent or any finance-ajacent analytics function.
  • Proven cross-functional partnership skills with diverse set of senior leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree, plus 3-5+ years of experience in corporate finance and/or accounting.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to model and forecast with accuracy.
  • Experience / familiarity with any of SQL, Looker, Workday, Coupa or similar procurement and Human Capital Management systems; Excel / Gsheet advanced modeling skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing a team.
  • Superb attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
