The Role: How you'll make an impact at Personio

This position can be office-based or fully remote from one of the following countries: Germany, Spain, Ireland, the Netherlands, or the UK.

We are seeking a highly motivated Finance System Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in evolving our finance system landscape where accounting meets systems and thus contribute directly to Personio’s growth journey.

Role Responsibilities: What you'll do

  • Accounting System Support: Support the Accounting team in all areas from AR, AP, Asset Accounting, Banking, General Ledger, Tax, Consolidation and Reporting

  • Audit: Support the core accounting team to manage the day-to-day financial operations and ensure high quality work for audit purposes

  • Period Close: Support group accounting with monthly, quarterly & annual reporting under IFRS and local GAAP for multiple entities

  • Continuous automation: Assist the functional finance teams by continuously driving automation and addressing process inefficiencies

  • Integrations: Good understanding of interfaces between existing business systems (e.g. Salesforce, Chargebee, Workday and others) and their associated data flows

  • Documentation: Ensure data flows and finance processes are documented in a structured manner and aligned with internal guidelines

  • System Management: Perform ERP configuration & management while providing first level support to end users

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

  • At least 3 years experience with Accounting, Finance or Controlling functions  and are familiar with cloud-based business systems for finance or planning (e.g. SAP S/4Hana, Oracle Netsuite, Workday or similar)

  • Expertise in accounting, financial analysis and reporting, data management, and project management

  • Ideally a qualified accountant or working towards same

  • Be process-focused with a view to continuous improvements to processes that scale

  • You have an affinity for system design and data, good analytical skills and a structured and independent way of working

  • Ability to prioritize and function well in a dynamic and ambiguous environment

  • Ability to deliver in a highly collaborative manner that generates buy-in and enthusiasm from peers and other stakeholders

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Data Science or similar is nice to have

  • You are business proficient in English. German and any other European language are nice-to-have
