Okta is seeking a top tier candidate for the Manager, Finance Transformation position. In this role, you will report to the Director, Finance Transformation, supporting Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Tax and Treasury teams to drive long-lasting and scalable change. This role will require both the ability to think strategically about long-term roadmaps and execute tactically. You will partner with Business Technology (BT) and your key stakeholders to identify changes to business processes and opportunities for automation and transformation. You will structure and define project goals, articulate business value, and call out risks to execution. You will also partner with your stakeholders to design new business processes, and support effective change management to deliver on planned benefits and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. You should be able to articulate the value of your work to executives, use your influence and innovation to support Finance and push its initiatives forward, and communicate status, risks, and remediation plans to stakeholders. Key to this role will be your ability to learn quickly, think strategically, build cross-functional relationships, communicate effectively with executives and stakeholders, work independently and proactively, and apply critical thinking skills while planning and executing projects. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Influence and advocate for process improvement changes cross-functionally between Finance, Accounting, and BT
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design tailored processes based on best practices focused on scaling and efficiency while creating detailed project plans to accomplish a transformation roadmap 
  • Develop concise, and compelling business value cases with measurable outcomes for proposed projects and programs for changes/ enhancements to process and/or technology capabilities
  • Use analytical and problem-solving skills to make complex business concepts easily digestible to BT and impacted stakeholders
  • Develop a strong understanding of Okta end-to-end processes that will allow you to bridge gaps and create synergies between departments and execute cross-functional projects effectively
  • Serve as business lead, driver and orchestrator on projects in close partnership and collaboration with SMEs by understanding current state, capturing pain points, defining future state, and defining business/product requirements (BRD)/user stories for new capabilities as well as enhancements
  • Apply project and program management skills to serve as the primary point of contact and liaison between functional business teams and the BT organization to drive accountability and ownership 
  • Design and conduct organizational and functional assessments of the RTR areas and processes by leveraging feedback and data to deliver insights to decision-makers, measure operational improvements, and influence prioritization of the transformation roadmap
  • Produce content and materials such as executive status updates, steering committee decks, etc. with an emphasis on transparency, exposure, and knowledge sharing
  • Must be a "self-starter", highly proactive, and resourceful with a track record of taking ownership and delivering results with a serious desire to have a positive impact on our company

Experience:

  • Minimum of 6+ years of business, consulting, and/or auditing experience specifically in the Record to Report (GL Operations, Financial Statement Close, SEC reporting and International statutory reporting), Accounts Payable, and/or Tax & Treasury space. 
  • Knowledge and experience with financial system applications such as NetSuite/Oracle/SAP, Workday, Coupa, OneSource, Workiva, Avalara, Salesforce / CPQ, FinancialForce, and/or automation tools such as Robotics Process Automation (RPA) is a plus
  • Vendor evaluation and/or technology implementation is a plus
  • Experienced in Process Improvement methodologies (Lean and/or Six Sigma Black Belt, or similar), Project Management methodologies, and leading organizational transformation practices
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully managing and owning cross functional initiatives
  • Experience in high-growth technology (or similar) companies is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or equivalent from an accredited college/university; CPA or another advanced professional credential is preferred

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$103,000—$172,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $128,000—$192,000 USD
