We are looking for a Financial Accountant  for our Accounts Receivable team in the heart of buzzing Berlin! 

You will:

  • be co-responsible for the timely and correct execution of the monthly closing tasks in the accounts receivable department.
  • prepare, analyse and post Babbel Group revenues based on payment provider statements, external reporting or internal data streams.
  • supervise our B2B invoicing process. If necessary, you will also post and confirm outgoing invoices in our ERP system.
  • design the accounting for new revenue streams and keep yourself up to date with relevant changes in legislation.
  • be one of the main point of contact for colleagues from other departments on specific questions regarding the group's sales and receivables.
  • work actively with your colleagues to further automate our processes.
  • be co-responsible for the maintenance and clarification of accounts receivable.

You have:

  • a successfully completed commercial apprenticeship. A degree in financial accounting (germ. “Finanzbuchhalter/in”) or tax accountant (germ. “Steuerfachangestellter/in”) is a plus.
  • at least two years of professional experience in accounts receivable accounting according to HGB. Ideally complemented with solid knowledge of German VAT law.
  • preferably experience with revenue recognition through internal data streams and/or with software-as-a-service.
  • a communicative, independent and precise way of working when it comes to delivering work results on time.
  • user knowledge in at least one ERP system (Workday or similar), as well as profound  extensive MS Excel knowledge.
