You will…

  • Work alongside our Senior Accountants, reporting into the Finance Lead and play a critical role in the month-end close procedures; preparing & posting journals.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies, ensuring data integrity and collaborating across functions (both finance and non-finance) 
  • Prepare weekly bank reconciliations to be sent to our Global head office
  • Manage capital expenditure (CAPEX), including maintenance of the fixed assets register across our offices and distribution centres
  • Prepare and manage IFRS 16 related reconciliations, accounting for leases across the business
  • Prepare statutory lodgements such as monthly business activity statements and quarterly surveys
  • Build working relationships with the Accounts Payable function based locally and abroad providing updates and feedback on accounting treatment & accruals processes
  • Assist throughout the half-year and year-end audit processes through providing necessary support, answering queries and assisting with financial statement preparation

You have…

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 3+ years working experience (auditing and commercial background preferred)
  • A working knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts and standards
  • Previous experience of working in a fast-paced business and a role which involves offering business critical analysis
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and exposure to an ERP system (Oracle would be advantageous)

Start Date: Immediately available - Can wait a notice period

Duration: 10 month fixed term contract
