Strategic Finance Financial Analyst

We are looking for a Financial Analyst, who will be an integral part of our finance team.  Reporting to the Manager of Strategic Finance, this individual will play a critical role on a team that combines strategy, analytics and financial analyses to enable the Company to scale successfully.  The ideal candidate has a strong FP&A foundation, with demonstrated success in business partnering.  Additionally, you will drive key analyses underpinned by financial and analytic models at different granularity levels to drive operational and strategic insights.  This individual must be highly analytical and process oriented with excellent communication/collaboration skills and a proven track record of synthesizing and simplifying complex issues.

Key responsibilities:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams and support functions including FP&A and Accounting
  • Drive strategic decision making by providing actionable insights through reporting and ad hoc analyses
  • Support pricing, discounting and profitability analyses across existing and new product lines
  • Drive 3-statement company financial model with the ability to create and maintain driver based financial models
  • Build multiple forecast scenarios with business partner input
  • Identify, recommend and drive process improvement initiatives to enable efficiencies and scale across the organization
  • Develop and/or enhance key metrics that bring insightful and actionable insights
  • Assist in the preparation of management reports and monthly/quarterly financial updates
  • Perform ad hoc analyses as needed

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field
  • 3 - 5 years in varying Strategic Finance or FP&A roles, SaaS experience strongly preferred
  • Prior experience with Financial Reporting systems, Netsuite and Adaptive Planning strongly preferred
  • Prior business partnering experience, or demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional leaders strongly preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively translate for non-finance audiences of varying levels
  • Demonstrated ability to manipulate, analyze, and summarize large data sets
  • Superior analytical and modeling skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel
  • High performance standards with high ethical values and passion for excellence
  • Proven ability to operate and succeed within a fast-paced environment

Sumo Logic Privacy Policy

The expected annual base salary range for this position is $91,000 - $124,000. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors which include (but aren’t limited to) role level, skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, location, and experience. In addition to base pay, certain roles are eligible to participate in our bonus or commission plans, as well as our benefits offerings, and equity awards.
