YOUR MISSION

We are looking for a Finance and Accounting graduate with several years of experience in the financial field to join us as the new Financial Controller in our Bulgaria office.

THE JOURNEY

  • Ensure robust controls are designed and operating effectively across all finance processes
  • Drive continuous improvement of finance processes and reporting workflows to reduce manual intervention and enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
  • Take active part in month-end closing procedures for purposes of both local and group reporting, by reviewing and validating data received from accountants, and submitting the financials to the Group Reporting team
  • Act as the point of contact for all follow-up questions from the Group Reporting team regarding the financials, ensuring timely and accurate responses
  • Support the Finance Director in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly re-forecasting processes to ensure accurate financial planning
  • Researches variance to budget and forecasts through detailed operational and financial metrics
  • Ensuring compliance with local GAAP principles, as well as local laws and regulations
  • Support the Finance Director with ad-hoc financial analysis to enable informed decision-making
  • Support strategic projects such as cost optimisation, investment analysis and system implemention
  • Assist with external audits

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting required, Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 3+ years of Audit/Controlling Experience. A combination of national and international exposure is a plus. Preferably Big Four background.
  • A strong technical knowledge of accounting and compliance issues. Knowledge of digital industry issues a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using Navision or other general ledger packages is a plus.
  • Proficient with Excel while applying strong analytical skills in the manipulation and understanding of data.
  • Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment, prioritizes multiple projects, meets all deadlines, and is dependable with a sense of personal responsibility for quality work product.
  • Detail oriented, results oriented.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to process improvement and exceptional attention to detail
