Our regulatory permissions and governance structure are the foundations of our business. We are regulated and supervised as an Authorised Electronic Money Institution (AEMI) in the UK by the Financial Conduct Authority and in the Netherlands by De Nederlandsche Bank.

The role

Summary

This Financial Crime Analyst is a vital role within Modulr and this role will [help to further develop and strengthen Modulr’s triaging, responding and analysing of law enforcement and external compliance enquiries received into the business. In turn, the successful [Financial Crime Analyst] will play a significant role in shaping the law enforcement requests function.

Specific duties

You will need to be comfortable doing the following:

On a daily basis you will be expected to manage a caseload consisting of a variety of ongoing requests from law enforcement agencies, whilst also being mindful of additional cases being received by the team and being able to adapt/pivot accordingly.

You will also need to demonstrate a high level of initiative and analytical thinking as a key element of the role will involve completing a review of customers/accounts and raising suspicious activity reports/unusual transaction reports wherever such activity is identified.

Other elements of the role will include:

  • Being able to take initiative with regards to workflow management and process improvement.
  • Key focus on quality assurance and taking the right action the first time.
  • Contribute to building a team atmosphere and rapport.

The team:

The team is a small but growing team, currently consists of 3 analysts with one analyst progressing on to another team within the financial crime function. You will report into the financial crime manager who in turn reports into the Head of Financial Crime Operations. Other areas within Modulr’s financial crime function include transaction monitoring, fraud, and screening, and the successful candidate should expect to engage with these areas on a regular basis.

The successful candidate will have a track-record in delivering results in a fast-moving scaling business and hence you must be comfortable with change and uncertainty. More specifically the ideal candidate will have:
