As a Staff Engineering Program Manager focused on FinOps you will partner with leaders in the Products, Engineering, and UX organization and with stakeholders in other departments to understand and manage the financial profile of our product offerings. You will create mechanisms to deepen our understanding of product and infrastructure costs and use that data to inform executive-level decisions on product and platform investments. You will drive organization-wide initiatives to optimize our cloud vendor spend through improvements in system utilization or adoption of new technologies. You will partner with teams across IT, Procurement, Financial Planning & Analysis, and more to streamline the budgeting and vendor intake process so we can onboard new technologies more efficiently. You will be the single-threaded cross-functional leader across the Products, Engineering, and UX organization to ensure we are meeting our budget obligations and to drive continued improvements to our bottom line costs and profit margins.

 

How You’ll Find Success
  • Understanding the calculations and strategies that underpin Enterprise SaaS finances and using that knowledge to inform your priorities and decisions.
  • Effectively collaborating and building trust with senior leaders, including C-suite executives, across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Taking initiative to proactively identify opportunities, understanding and articulating the expected outcomes, and working to drive results.
  • Building mechanisms to provide visibility and create accountability so that Product and Engineering teams can effectively prioritize their investments to drive top-line revenue or bottom-line costs.

  • As you develop a deep understanding of the Qualtrics cost structure you will become a strategic thought partner for our Products, Engineering, and UX organization and directly influence our long-term priorities and investments.
  • As you build strong relationships with senior leaders and executives across the company you will become an influential partner for company-level decisions, especially as part of our annual planning and budgeting processes.
  • As the company grows and our product portfolio expands, your scope of influence and expertise will naturally grow to match.
Things You’ll Do
  • Improve the accuracy of our financial forecasts by creating more granular visibility into our cost structure and models to predict cost changes over time.
  • Decrease operating expenses by identifying opportunities to improve cloud resource utilization or adopt new technologies with more effective cost dynamics for our use cases.
  • Improve our product prioritization decisions by providing more clear and actionable data on the costs of both current and potential new products and features.
What We’re Looking For On Your
  • 8+ years of experience in technical program or project management
  • Demonstrated application of SaaS financial knowledge to solve business or technical problems
  • Experience defining, managing, and successfully delivering large scale cross-functional initiatives
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver projects with multiple dependencies and constraints
  • Ability to communicate effectively and establish credibility with technical and non-technical stakeholders including executive staff

For full-time positions, this pay range is for base per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience. For part-time or intern positions, this pay range is for base pay per hour. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be included in an employment offer, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and other benefits, based on eligibility criteria.
