Job Description

The role of the FSQA Technologist is crucial in ensuring food safety, quality assurance, and quality control across the distribution centre. This position involves driving food safety initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks, and supporting audits and regulatory compliance. The FSQA Technologist also supervises the Quality Control team, manages documentation, and leads continuous improvement projects. By proactively addressing food safety issues and coordinating best practices across geographies, the technologist plays a vital role in maintaining the high standards that HelloFresh is known for.

You will…

  • Support and drive food safety initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure DC compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Identify and address recurring food safety or quality issues in the supply chain, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Assist in internal and external audits, including BRCGS and regulatory compliance, and respond to customer complaints in a timely manner.
  • Develop and manage FSQA/QC documentation, supervise Quality Control Officers, and ensure regulatory compliance through weekly SKU verification and sampling.
  • Conduct temperature validations for packaging, logistics routes, and product changes, and analyse data to report findings to stakeholders.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, participate in audits, and collaborate with international teams on quality improvement projects.

You have…

  • Degree in Food Science, Food Safety or related discipline (essential)
  • 2+ years’ experience of working in a quality role in the food or pharmaceutical industry
  • Good understanding of the Food Safety requirements and familiar with the food industry
  • Practical knowledge and experience in an operational environment
  • Understands or possesses a basic knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices as well as HACCP principles
