Job Description:
The Forklift Operator receives product for the day’s production and transports materials safely and efficiently to the appropriate areas of the facility. The Forklift Operator also picks product from inventory as needed, makes adjustments on the computer, and adheres to all safety protocols.

- Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas in a safe and timely manner.
- Process received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.
- Ensure the accuracy, quality, and safety of received goods by following the company’s defined procedures to inspect both the truck and materials
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Assist in the shipping and warehouse areas as needed
- Report food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
- Enforce and follow all safety, GMP and SQF policies/procedures.
- Ensure the accuracy, quality, and safety of received goods by following the company’s defined procedures to ensure FIFO protocols are followed.
- Ensure the proper stocking of all production materials needed for the production line on a daily basis.
- Shrink wraps pallets either manually or utilizing automation in preparation of shipment.
- Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
- Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Report food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action

- Able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Are able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects and/or tools.
- Able to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision.
- Able to communicate, both verbally and in writing in English, effectively and professionally with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Are able to stand, walk, stoop, reach and lift for a minimum of 10 to 12 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Able to work in a cold prep area kept at 35 degrees
