The Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team's core mission is to help Deliveroo make more engaging decisions. We aim to build long-term company value, and we achieve this by setting company strategy, facilitating world-class execution, understanding and sharing the drivers of our business, delivering accurate financial results, all while managing risks and keeping an eye out for opportunities.

You will be an integral part in designing processes and ways of working aimed to maximise the usage of FP&A systems and tools in close collaboration with both Commercial Finance and Financial Reporting teams. The role will report directly to the FP&A Director and will be focused on driving strategic finance priorities. The role offers hybrid working - with 60% of time spent in our Central London office.

What you will do

  • Systems Architecture: Maintain and further develop FP&A processes in Pigment, become an expert capable of building and maintaining models. Collaborate with internal partners and external Pigment implementation teams, to further develop a single source commercial finance reporting tool.
  • Roadmap Achievements: Deliver on finance transformation milestones by becoming the SME (subject matter expert) of Pigment and other finance systems for the wider Finance and Strategy teams. Monitor roadmap deliverables ensuring system updates/improvements are delivered. Be a 'product champion', and push for wider utilisation of Pigment across the organisation through training and engagement sessions. Over time, own and define the product roadmap with team leadership, identify further opportunities for automation and system integrity.
  • Data Expertise: Learn and identify numerous data flows across Netsuite, Looker and Snowflake. Understand the 'building blocks' of the management accounts, recognise how multiple data sources collate into a single source of truth. Push for simplification and standardisation of important finance definitions.
  • Documentation: Create documentation around both existing and newly introduced processes.
  • Ad-hocs: Work on ad-hocs requests from the Financial Planning and Analysis team.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in a similar analytics and system architecture position. Combination of technical skills with basic finance knowledge
  • Experience building tools across multiple systems (SQL, Netsuite, Alteryx, Hyperion, Looker etc) to support a variety of analytical needs
  • Willingness to have a diverse set of tasks, take responsibility and 'own' your work
  • Advanced SQL or Python experience is required
  • Finance/accounting experience but not required

We move fast, value autonomy and ownership, and we are always looking for new ideas.

Workplace & Benefits

At Deliveroo we know that people are the heart of the business and we prioritise their welfare. Diversity

At Deliveroo, we believe a great workplace is one that represents the world we live in and how beautifully diverse it can be. That means we have no judgement when it comes to any one of the things that make you who you are - your gender, race, sexuality, religion or a secret aversion to coriander. All you need is a passion for (most) food and a desire to be part of one of the fastest-growing businesses in a rapidly growing industry.

We are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion in all aspects of our hiring process. We recognise that some candidates may require adjustments to apply for a position or fairly participate in the interview process. If you require any adjustments, please don't hesitate to let us know.
