This FP&A Sr Finance Analyst will be a key member of the Services and Operations FP&A team, supporting the Customer Experience (CX) and Supply Chain Operations organization.  

The CX Sr Finance Analyst will support the budgeting, forecasting and reporting of financial and operational metrics for Evergreen Subscription Renewals and Sales Proof of Concept (POC) Inventory.  The Evergreen subscription is Pure’s flagship subscription and a successful candidate will be responsible for surfacing and presenting key business insights and recommendations to finance and senior business leadership.  Additionally, the CX Sr Finance Analyst will be responsible for Sales POC inventory targeting and reporting, surfacing risks and opportunities to drive optimization.

What You Will Be Doing

Evergreen Subscription Renewals

  • Support and maintain the Evergreen Renewal bookings and revenue forecasting model monthly.
  • Prepare Evergreen bookings and revenue monthly actuals vs budget and forecast reconciliation and bridge analysis.
  • Support monthly renewal key performance metrics package including analysis on renewal rate, term, on-time, and lost metrics in preparation for review with Renewal Sales leadership.
  • Partner with Business Intelligence on reporting automation and new metrics development; including supporting testing and validating new reports.
  • Support Evergreen subscription trend reporting including but not limited to bookings, service level  mix, discounting by theater, product and account.
  • Drive continual process improvement leveraging best practices, standardization, and automation to scale the business.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support key business decisions.

Sales POC Sales Reporting

  • Support and maintain the POC (Proof of Concept) Inventory model for quarterly target setting.
  • Prepare monthly actuals vs target analysis; monitor risks and opportunity to the target. 
  • Publish monthly dashboard of POC actuals vs target to Sales Finance, Sales Engineering and Sales Operations business partners and leadership.

What You Bring To The Team

  • BA degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent; MBA a plus.
  • 3-4 years of progressively complex roles in a financial function with financial planning and analysis experience/understanding; Service experience a plus.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to interpret and summarize data to aid management in achieving operational goals.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, project management, and financial modeling abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, work well under pressure and adapt quickly to change.
  • Willingness and curiosity to take deep dives into status-quo and drive effective changes that scale, even or especially if it means establishing new processes or what hasn’t been done before.
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally, through strong relationship building, influencing, negotiating and communication skills, with all levels of management.
  • Advanced Excel modeling and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, Tableau and Anaplan software are a plus.
