Job Description
The Team
The Trust team safeguards fraud protection for Deliveroo, our consumers, riders, and restaurant partners. We are looking for a analytical Fraud Analyst to join our London-based team, working on a hybrid schedule with three days in the office each week.
The Role
The Fraud Analyst will be on the frontline of fraud & abuse prevention and will apply a data-driven approach to identify, understand, and tackle emerging fraud & abuse trends across Deliveroo markets.
You will drive important performance metrics such as fraud & abuse losses, false positives & operational efficiency. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Customer Care, Compliance & outsource teams to detect & prevent both fraud & abuse globally. You will be reporting to Global Fraud Operations Manager
What you'll be doing
- Take ownership of daily team workflows relating to fraud & abuse prevention across all sides of the marketplace
- Work with senior fraud analysts to contribute to quarterly programs to reduce the impact of payment fraud, chargebacks, ATO and abuse across the marketplace
- Handle and respond to fraud-related inquiries and concerns from internal stakeholders
- Analyse fraud & abuse date data to understand the root cause of issues and identifying areas of opportunity to change rules, procedures and policies
- Create and amend fraud rules in response to evolving fraud behaviours
- Building reports, providing analysis and making strategic recommendations to the team
- Help & support periodic fraud audit operations
- Build and maintain internal fraud & abuse process documentation
- Help with ad hoc requests from the team and management.
- Support the Fraud Operations Manager to maintain and enhance internal policies, procedures & documentation
Requirements
- 2+ years previous fraud prevention experience at the merchant level
- Direct experience maximising machine learning & rule based fraud prevention tooling (such as Ravelin/Sift/Signifyd etc)
- Have a strong understanding of fraud & abuse best practises
- Demonstrated experience of working on a global scale in a complex environment
- SQL is preferred but not essential
