We are looking for a Freelance Editorial Assistant to join our high-performing Culinary Team. You will play an important role in translating, editing, and proofreading our delicious recipes from English to Swedish. The ideal candidate will be able to masterfully translate and update recipe cards to brand tone of voice and local style guide, compose clever recipe descriptions, and optimize language for style, clarity, grammar, and punctuation — all while staying mindful of a tight production workflow. HelloFresh recipe cards are our most important connection to our customers, and clear, concise, error-free recipes ensure a truly successful customer experience.

• Translate, proofread, and edit recipes from English to Swedish, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency of voice and style across all recipe cards
• Bring out your inner copywriter and create intriguing and irresistible recipe descriptions
• Work closely with the local editorial team to eliminate recipe errors if/when product changes are made
• Support our editorial team by handling a range of operational tasks, including managing ad hoc bulk translation projects
• Ensure translated content conveys the original meaning and tone of voice

• 1+ year of professional translation experience
• Fluency in Swedish both written and oral in mother tongue
• Fluency in English
• Experience in Adobe InDesign 
• A flexible mindset and excitement to work in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and ability to ensure timely execution of weekly tasks and deadlines
• Your own company and would be able to invoice us (required)

• A remote freelance position with a duration of 6-7 months
• Minimum 15 hours/week 
• An hourly rate of 250 SEK
• Start date June 2
