CastleGate Forwarding (CGF) is Wayfair's freight forwarding division, dedicated to supporting suppliers' international supply chain needs. With a focus on providing exceptional service, CGF strives to become the preferred freight forwarder for Wayfair’s suppliers.

As an Account Manager, you will manage a portfolio of suppliers, acting as their strategic advisor to foster growth and secure the best rates and volumes. By identifying supplier needs, presenting supply chain value propositions, and implementing process enhancements, you will build and maintain strong supplier relationships, while driving performance improvements through data analysis and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a new team on our mission to expand our European market by growing the most promising and high-quality suppliers to meet our ambitious growth target.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage a portfolio of suppliers across our CastleGate Forwarding business.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, acting as their growth and strategic advisor, and execute negotiations to secure the best rates and volumes.
  • Analyze key metrics and derive strategies on how to improve supplier and team performances.
  • Drive relationships and collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Present supply chain value propositions to Wayfair suppliers and identify supplier needs.
  • Ensure compliance with company’s and customer’s standard operating procedure.
  • Attend trade shows and visit key suppliers (2-5 times per year).

What You’ll Have:

  • Demonstrable experience within a professional account management, sales or business development role, preferably in the freight forwarding sector or a related logistics field. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • The ability to build and maintain long-lasting relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • A data driven and analytical mindset, someone who shows a strength in handling data, identifying insights and converting into business decisions.
  • Proficient IT navigation skills including: MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and/ or Google Suite (G-Mail, GoogleSheets, GoogleDocs); strong working knowledge of Excel functions such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to have an impact on the business with a hands-on approach, supporting our strategy and enhancing supplier experience.
  • The ability to work effectively with people in a cross-functional and thrive within an agile, fast paced environment.
