Front End Developer (PACE)

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Front-End Developer (FED). The FED is responsible for completing front-end tasks and providing support to web applications. The FED is able to work independently in basic tasks, assuming ownership for the design and programming required. For more complex work, this individual will rely on existing designs and seek guidance from more senior positions. The FED should also be able to provide constant progress status to a senior level as needed and estimates for his tasks, that must be approved by his senior or technology lead of the current project.

A FED works with web applications and a variety of front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript and is comfortable with content management systems platforms.

You will:

  • Collaborate in implementing data exchange between application layers via AJAX 
  • Works closely with Creative, Business, Technology and QA teams to ensure quality and punctual web development 
  • Translates graphical designs and wireframes into fully styled markup code 
  • Implements technical solutions following the Capability’s best practices 
  • Debugs or troubleshoots issues in existing web applications 
  • Provide feedback on policies and procedures when an opportunity for improvement exists 
  • Ensures concise and clear documentation is maintained by all peers for the projects as dictated by each Capability’s guidelines and best practices 

 

You have:

  • Advanced English level (B2+/C1)
  • At least 2 years of experience working exclusively with Front-End technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript/jQuery).
  • In depth knowledge with Cross-browser and Responsive development.
  • Work experience configuring, using, and troubleshooting tools such as process automation & scripting (eg. Webpack or Gulp) and pre-processing tools (eg. SASS, LESS).
  • Can configure automation tools such as Webpack or Gulp and include common project tasks such as pre-processing, minification, code obfuscation, etc.
  • Knowledge of design patterns (e.g., model-view-controller, observer, object-oriented, etc.) and working with several mainstream libraries and frameworks.
  • Proficiency with data transfer formats and protocols popular in web applications (eg. JSON, XML, HTTP).
  • Capable of designing and choosing a quality assurance process for the project including guidelines for unit tests, load testing, and performance testing.
  • Capable of writing code compliant with modern accessibility (eg. ARIA, WCAG, Microformats, ADA, RDF) and SEO guidelines and best practices.
  • Capable of working with new technologies and building proof-of-concept prototypes.
  • Capable of troubleshooting, debugging, and doing root cause analysis of web platform issues.
  • Plus: Experience in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
  • Experience working with other disciplines to deliver websites.
