Order & Pay is one of SumUp’s newest tribes, on a mission to create unique and efficient ways for consumers to buy goods and services, from QR-code-based pay-at-table solutions to large touchscreen kiosks. Who you are:

You’re an experienced Front End developer with deep expertise in Javascript and React who demonstrates high curiosity and keeps up with the latest technologies. You are aware of the backend services and how they impact front end work. You have developed and maintained multiple web applications throughout the entirety of their lifecycle. You have a strong eye for software design. You want to tackle tough technical challenges and have a desire to impact local businesses and communities.

• You’ll maintain a high level of quality in our codebases through sound development practices including code reviews, instrumentation with monitoring and alerting systems, automated testing, and architecture reviews
• Own, design, and code product initiatives from start to finish
• You will work on and help to improve the platform and will assist in CI/CD work as well as automating the testing

•  Experience working on production web applications - we primarily use React and TypeScript
• Experience working equally with REST & GraphQL backends
• A strong eye for clean modular code
• A good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) pipeline architecture
• Be a strong team player. We work in small, tightly-knit product teams that function cohesively to move as quickly as possible
