User Clients team
As a Frontend Engineer on the User Clients team at Airbnb, you’ll be responsible for building and shaping the future of Airbnb’s Users related product flows, such as user profile, information, and settings across the app and providing Airbnb’s Users with a secure, reliable, and delightful authentication experience. The team is highly collaborative with its partners in design, product, data science, legal, and marketing to deliver features and experiences used by millions of people. We work closely with other engineering teams to ensure we build systems that are performant and configurable with architecture that's scalable and robust.
Reputation Clients team
The Reputation Clients team is dedicated to building exceptional customer-facing products that enhance trip quality, user reputation, and listing performance. Our goal is to build delightful user products that foster trust, connections, and a sense of belonging. The team is highly collaborative with its partners in design, product, data science, legal, and marketing to deliver features and experiences used by millions of people.
Our work includes:
- Reviews - As a two sided marketplace, reviews allows both guests and hosts to recognize and keep each other accountable.
- Superhost - The concept of a host is core to Airbnb, the superhost program is built to recognize and reward top hosts for going above and beyond to provide an incredible experience for guests.
- Standards - Airbnb is built on trust, the reputation team is tasked with escalating education and enforcement when poor feedback is received.
- Insights - The Reputation team provides data and visualizations to hosts about how they are performing and opportunities they may want to take advantage of.
The Difference You Will Make:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated engineer who is passionate about making a difference through their work. As a frontend web engineer on the Reputation Clients team, you’ll be responsible for building Airbnb’s quality, reviews, performance insights and reputation products. We aim to build a company-wide quality platform and hospitality system that helps Airbnb and hosts deliver magical stays.
A Typical Day:
- Build and deliver high-quality products in the reviews, standards, and insights space
- Follow frontend paved path and best practices within a fast-paced tech environment
- Work with cross functional partners (product managers, design etc) to define and deliver high-quality products
- Collaborate within and across engineering teams to build systems that are performant, scalable and robust
- Collaborate with teammates via code reviews and architecture discussions
Your Expertise:
- 2+ years of experience in frontend web development
- Experience with modern JavaScript/Typescript libraries and tooling (e.g. React, graphql)
- Fluency in HTML, CSS, and related web technologies
- Strong product sense and a passion for UX product development
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with Product Management, Design, and other iOS, Android, and Web Engineers
- [Bonus] Experience with animation libraries
- [Bonus] Interest in working with data and performance insights

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
Pay Range$153,000—$184,900 USD
