YOUR MISSION

In Glovo, we want to change the way consumers buy groceries, and we believe that if we want to revolutionize the industry, we need to deliver a WOW experience to our clients. To reach this WOW effect you will be managing and coordinating our different Micro Fulfillment Centers within your city. Your goal will be to quickly adapt the operation of each MFC, co-managing the assortment and pricing and to be a hero leader to your team. This role will require a mix of operations management skills, people skills, and creativity to tackle different challenges.

THE JOURNEY

  • Manage and supervise all the MFCs in Kazakhstan.
  • Be hands-on and possess a 360 view of the business
  • You will hire, train and motivate all of the staff within MFC as you seek to reach optimal efficiency and profitability, delegating tasks and following up on them.
  • You will control and manage the staffing - headcount, hours, shifts - of the MFCs as you optimize the efficiency and happiness of the pickers.
  • You will implement existing procedures and find ways to improve these procedures and to report them back to Global.
  • You will control the stock level, check the demand forecast and the reinstock of the MFCs.
  • Develop reports to track the operations of each darkstore and each picker and take action to improve both areas.
  • Be responsible for at least 3 stores in 2 cities and coordinate the launch of new MFCs within your area of influence.
  • Be responsible for P&L of your business unit
  • You will be an ambassador of Glovo’s culture and values for your teams.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • 3+ years experience in operations, managing multidisciplinary teams, in a retail, distribution, or logistics environment
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to problem solve and prioritize with little guidance
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with all organization levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to use computer and wireless technology.
  • Fluent in the Russian language and English. Kazakh is a plus.
  • An empathetic, inclusive and curious attitude
  • Working knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques (nice to have).
