Fulfillment Center Human Resources Business Partner

Chewy is recruiting for a Human Resources Business Partner at our Belton, MO fulfillment center. This position coordinates and is responsible for the Fulfillment Center Human Resources department. (Day shift Monday-Friday)
What you'll do:
- Lead the team responsible for performance management, employee engagement, and talent development.
- Assist management staff in the resolution of issues and concerns, which may include disciplinary action.
- Assist with training as needed and develop a team responsible for a best-in-class onboarding experience.
- Collaborate with the Total Rewards organization to build and maintain compensation programs, evaluate job levels, and ensure compensation programs remain competitive.
- Administer worker's compensation program: investigate all injuries, first aid, and near misses, and work with plant management to reduce all three.
- Handle benefits administration.
- Develop/update job descriptions, rules, procedures, and policies as needed.
- Participate in facility safety and meetings, including, but not limited to, safety committee meetings and accident investigations.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or related field of study, or the equivalent experience in a similar warehouse or fulfillment environment.
- 5 years in an HR partnership role, ideally within a fulfillment or distribution center.
- 2 years of experience leading an HR Team.
- Consistent track record of strategic partnerships which enhance the HR experience.
- Desire to work in a lively work environment with a demonstrable track record of success.
- Excellent written, verbal, and public presentation /communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Able to work optimally with a variety of personnel.
- Strong employee relations background.
- The position may require travel.
