Chewy is recruiting for a Human Resources Business Partner at our Belton, MO fulfillment center. This position coordinates and is responsible for the Fulfillment Center Human Resources department. (Day shift Monday-Friday)

What you'll do: 

  • Lead the team responsible for performance management, employee engagement, and talent development.
  • Assist management staff in the resolution of issues and concerns, which may include disciplinary action. 
  • Assist with training as needed and develop a team responsible for a best-in-class onboarding experience. 
  • Collaborate with the Total Rewards organization to build and maintain compensation programs, evaluate job levels, and ensure compensation programs remain competitive. 
  • Administer worker's compensation program: investigate all injuries, first aid, and near misses, and work with plant management to reduce all three. 
  • Handle benefits administration.
  • Develop/update job descriptions, rules, procedures, and policies as needed. 
  • Participate in facility safety and meetings, including, but not limited to, safety committee meetings and accident investigations. 

What you'll need: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or related field of study, or the equivalent experience in a similar warehouse or fulfillment environment. 
  • 5 years in an HR partnership role, ideally within a fulfillment or distribution center. 
  • 2 years of experience leading an HR Team.
  • Consistent track record of strategic partnerships which enhance the HR experience. 
  • Desire to work in a lively work environment with a demonstrable track record of success. 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and public presentation /communication skills and strong interpersonal skills. 
  • Able to work optimally with a variety of personnel.
  • Strong employee relations background.
  • The position may require travel.
