Gaming - QA Tech Lead
As a QA Tech Lead, you will be pivotal in establishing and evolving our QA strategy, ensuring the implementation of robust frameworks and methodologies throughout the development lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with our Gaming Engineering teams, including both Software Engineers and QA Engineers, to foster a strong team spirit and a culture of excellence. The QA Tech Lead role is crucial in continually enhancing quality standards and prioritizing quality across all teams.

A taster of what you will be involved with- Develop a comprehensive understanding of our product to identify weaknesses and enhance testing effectiveness, ensuring adherence to the highest quality standards.
- Formulate a Test Strategy aimed at improving the quality of both current testing efforts and the code shipped by various teams.
- Take an active hands-on approach and provide guidance to teams on implementing different types and levels of tests. This should be done with the aim of fostering collaboration between Software Engineers and QA Engineers for shared responsibility for quality.
- Play a pivotal role in developing Proof of Concepts (POCs) for testing tools and frameworks for efficient and scalable test automation.
- Oversee the quality of test automation code created by teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality code.
- Advocate for a shift-left mentality, emphasizing early induction of quality from understanding requirements to delivery.
- Drive towards a Continuous Delivery approach, leveraging automation for fast, frequent, and high-quality releases.
- Expand the scope of quality assurance to encompass non-functional aspects, ensuring excellence in performance and security.
- Integrate quality into Agile processes, making quality checks an integral part of development efforts.
- Provide visibility into quality efforts through meaningful metrics.
- Lead investigations and root cause analyses for any occurring issues.
- Keep close communication with the Head of Engineering to understand the needs of the different teams and align on the technical direction of the team.
- Act as a point of reference to the QA Engineers in the teams for any issues and discussions related to the quality processes within the teams.
- Proven experience in collaborating with a team of QA Engineers and Software Engineers to improve quality through test automation.
- Hands-on experience in creating automated tests for both Frontend and Backend products.
- Proficiency with test automation frameworks such as Moq or Mockito.
- Experience in guiding teams to implement a Test-Driven Development (TDD) approach.
- Familiarity with using tracking tools like Jira in an Agile environment.
- Experience with using DevOps practices using tools like Github Actions, Gitlab CI/CD pipelines, and TeamCity.
- Skilled in implementing test automation strategies for microservice-based architectures.
- Experience with performance testing tools like K6 or JMeter.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with proficiency in English.
- Strong ability to foster collaboration and teamwork towards achieving common goals.
- Understanding of cloud-based technologies like AWS and Azure.
- Experience with tools like RabbitMQ, Kafka, Docker and K8s.
- Proficient with version control systems such as Git.
- Previous experience in the iGaming industry.
- Experience in working in a multicultural geo-distributed team.
- Hold a Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I)
