YOUR MISSION

Glovo keeps growing day after day, that's why we are looking for an experienced and hands-on Senior Director - Head of Legal & Compliance that will work with Glovo’s HQ Legal team in Barcelona as well as the Delivery Hero group’s Legal Team. The role is part of the Glovo leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a local team of +40 professionals across 23 markets, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Leadership Role: Be an integral part of Glovo’s leadership team, reporting directly to the CFO and collaborating closely with the CEO and the Management team.
  • Legal Strategy: Lead the legal strategy across various domains including Corporate, Labor & Employment, Privacy, Commercial and Regulatory Law as well as GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance).
  • Labour Strategy: lead the Labour strategy and compliance of the group and across all markets.
  • Risk Management: Evaluate business model risks and implement appropriate procedures to mitigate them, balancing business needs.
  • Corporate governance and Regulatory Compliance: Assist the operations department in adapting the business model to comply with internal group policies and local regulations.
  • Strategic Oversight: Take a strategic and long-term view of risk and compliance, ensuring awareness of best practices among Glovo employees.
  • Manage relationships, agreements, and negotiations with the company's Works Councils.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

  • At least 15 years of working experience as in-house legal counsel or in a reputed law firm.
  • Law Bachelor Degree, with a Master in Business Law preferable (at least one university degree from a reputable Spanish university would be considered a plus, but is not a must). 
  • Excellent English and proficient in Spanish (preferably). Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
  • A 360º proven expertise / knowledge of corporate governance, commercial and antitrust, labour law and compliance.
  • Expertise in analysis and implementation of a legal strategy supporting the business needs.
  • Team player with excellent leadership and people management skills. Proven ability to work and lead cross-functional teams in a multinational context.
  • Proven experience working with the senior management
  • Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, high impactful scope, results oriented, fast execution.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Critical Issue Escalation: Escalate critical matters to senior management as necessary.
  • Hands-On Problem Solving: Proactively address and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Passion for transformation, legal operations and building efficient processes within a team.
  • Hardworking, problem solver, organized, energetic, proactive.
  • Tech or industry relevant experience as a plus.
