Role Description:

Our Finance team is expanding, making it an exciting time to join us. We’re seeking bright, motivated individuals passionate about driving process improvements and contributing to a highly productive team. As a GL Accountant, you’ll support the EMEA Accounting Manager in maintaining accurate and compliant financial records across all EMEA regions at Symphony. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our financial processes are efficient and aligned with company objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and year-end financial statements for the company and its subsidiaries, with the flexibility and capability to work across different subsidiaries and currencies.
  • Support Month end close and annual close process: accounting entries, accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliation, fixed asset depreciation, reviewing financial documents for accuracy
  • Prepare journal entries and perform monthly bank account reconciliation
  • Review all Accounts Payable invoices for accuracy and process Purchase Orders.
  • Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and respond to auditor requests.
  • Assist various departments in accounting issues and queries
  • Perform administrative and other tasks as needed and as assigned by the EMEA Accounting Manager

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting/finance
  • Experience: 2+ years experience in general accounting.
  • Strong accounting knowledge with attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Experience with SAP Concur and or Netsuite and intermediate Excel skill strongly preferred.
