About The Role

Since 2002, Tripadvisor has built legendary programs that reflect our commitment to trustworthy guidance and our incredible travel community. Tripadvisor’s most recognized global brand franchise is the ‘Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards’ celebrating the best restaurants, hotels, destinations, beaches, and things to do – based on the reviews and ratings of travelers. Travelers’ Choice Awards is one of the most recognised brand franchises in the global travel industry and will be the majority focus of this role. We have plans to create even more franchises in the future that this role will contribute to in the future. 

We are looking for a Global Brand Franchise Manager with experience in fast paced and agile (preferably tech) businesses to help us lead these franchises. This is a central role in Tripadvisor’s brand ecosystem that requires structured, analytical but also creative skills. Your primary focus will be ensuring Tripadvisor’s global brand franchises remain on-track to capture the hearts and minds of our audiences and generate growth for Tripadvisor. 

 

What You’ll Do

This role is part of Tripadvisor’s global brand team and reports into our Associate Director of Global Brand Franchises. Responsibilities include:

  • Project managing the annual Travelers’ Choice launch calendar (5+ global launches per year)

  • Lead elements of planning for when, how and for who our global brand franchises show up 

  • Improve processes that allow us to deliver our franchises to travelers and our B2B partners (e.g. hotel owners, restaurant owners, etc) faster and more efficiently

  • Being a leading point of contact between the brand and other teams - you’ll lead them towards fantastic launches but also be responsive - ensuring they have what they need to play their part in Tripadvisor’s continued success.

  • Partner with multiple internal and external teams such as: integrated marketing, data analytics, creative, PR, product, engineering, sales, sponsorships, B2B and more

  • Helping to define, generate, review & quality-control the prestigious Travelers’ Choice winners 

  • Briefing, reviewing and gaining approval on any design (UX, UI, etc) updates to how we present our lists across our owned channels (website, app, etc)

  • Playing a pivotal role in setting up our global brand franchises to attract sponsorships/ partnerships from brands as diverse as beauty, entertainment, beer  and beyond!

  • Leading the measurement and analysis of brand franchise initiatives and making recommendations for future improvements.  

  • This is a mostly remote position that requires several days per quarter in a central hub office.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience

  • Demonstrated experience growing and executing on wide variety of projects (e.g. creative, technical and process driven, analytical, etc)

  • Exceptional organisation skills, with a keen eye for detail, requiring minimal supervision

  • Have demonstrable experience in finding ever more efficient ways of working with teams

  • Creative problem-solving & execution while never losing sight of the broader brand strategy

  • Proactive & independent: always taking the initiative & improve existing programs/processes

  • Must have a collaborative style while still being able to focus teams’ minds on set goals 

  • Requires high levels of flexibility when working on fast moving projects that may start, stopping and changing direction after initial briefs due to business needs. 

  • Must have the ability to work through ambiguity in order to find answers to critical information that will unlock brilliant results.   

  • Must exhibit superb verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of comfort interpreting results and communicating insights effectively

  • Be a passionate advocate for the needs of the travelers and B2B partners 

  • A strong sense of ownership and entrepreneurial spirit

  • Must love travel
