The Global Commercial Director (GCD) Aftermarket is critical in driving commercial strategy, operational excellence, and financial performance across the division by crafting and executing strategic commercial initiatives aligned with company targets.

About The Role: 

  • Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies aligned with the division’s overall business goals.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive commercial initiatives, ensuring a balanced focus on sales, operations, and strategic development.
  • Oversee large-scale operations, ensuring efficiency and driving continuous improvement.
  • Manage the performance and development of the Commercial and Strategy Manager and Global Client Services Manager.
  • Manage and resolve commercial disputes that may arise during project execution. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to find amicable resolutions, potentially through negotiation, mediation, or arbitration.
  • Provide robust financial modelling and analysis to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
  • Own key data and performance metrics, driving informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and maintain performance management measures across the division.
  • Develop dashboards and performance management tools to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Lead the development and implementation of commercial strategies that drive growth and align with business objectives.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance across departments to ensure cohesive and effective commercial operations.
  • Manage diverse teams effectively, ensuring alignment with divisional and company-wide goals.
  • Drive organizational transformation to adapt to evolving business environments.
  • Manage change initiatives effectively, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to operations.

Professional and Personal attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Qualifications such as CA, CPA, CFA, or CSA would be highly regarded.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior commercial or similar role with a proven track record in operational management, financial analysis, and strategy development.
  • Extensive experience in managing large-scale operations and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial modelling, analysis, and commercial strategy development.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a global perspective.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and drive performance.
  • Proven ability to manage change and drive organizational transformation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
