ABOUT THE ROLE

Purpose is looking for a Global Contracts Manager to join our global Finance & Operations team and manage vendor, contractor, client, and sub-grants agreements across Purpose’s regions. The Global Contracts Manager will work collaboratively with global cross-functional teams, including senior leadership and the CFO, and serve as the liaison for all contractual needs for the organisation. 

We’re looking for folks who have contract management experience and are familiar with basic contract law across India, US, and UK and can make necessary amendments to our existing contract templates so that our terms are in compliance with local requirements. Timely and effective communications with vendors, clients & project managers is essential to the role. The ideal candidate has a high level of attention to detail, comfort with contract language drafting, and the ability to work effectively across time zones and with a diversity of colleagues. 

 

This role is offered as a Part-time Contract position for a duration of four months, with the expectation of 25 hours of work per week, with a strong possibility of conversion to Full Time depending on performance and budget. The person in this role will report to the Chief Finance Officer and work closely with Finance leads across Purpose’s offices and will need to work reasonably flexible hours. 

Salary will be commensurate with experience. This is a fully remote position. We are open to candidates based in Delhi, Mumbai, or Bangalore. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Edit and revise company standard vendor & contractor agreements and sub-grants agreements
  • Advise on and amend agreements provided by vendors to ensure compliance with Purpose’s internal standards and local regulations. 
  • Managing the contract lifecycle, including but not limited to: draft, modification, execution, amendments and renewal of contracts
  • Serves as the primary point of contact and provides time-sensitive support to key stakeholders across global teams, contractors and vendors.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external teams that include but are not limited to coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Maintain up-to-date database tracking all contracts and related correspondence. Identify and assist with contract management improvements.
  • Identify and escalate material issues in contracts.
  • Maintenance of a centralised file, storage and documentation system for all contract-related material

QUALIFICATIONS

We think you will be a successful candidate if you:

  • 6+ years experience in vendor, contractor agreement management, or activities related to drafting amended terms and negotiating contracts and managing compliance to contractual requirements preferred
  • Previous in-house contract management experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively with every level of the organisation.
  • Demonstrates strong organisational skills and the ability to successfully handle multiple concurrent tasks/assignments simultaneously: attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy.
  • Excellent facilitation skills and the ability to engage a broad base of stakeholders.
  • Strong professional judgement and sound decision-making skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast pace environment
  • Track and follow up on detailed information about contract requirements
  • Ability to coordinate with  cross-functional teams
  • Is excited to work with a global team and team members that are from diverse backgrounds
  • Proficiency with G-suite (Google doc, spreadsheet, google forms, google slides, etc).
