Role:  Global Mobility Compliance and Immigration Expert

About the role: 

As global mobility faces increasing complexity driven by evolving legal, tax, and immigration regulations, we are evolving from a tactical operational model to a strategic compliance leadership approach. We are seeking a Global Mobility Compliance and Immigration Expert to lead this transformation. This role will be critical in ensuring that our workforce mobility is compliant, future-ready, and seamlessly aligned with global regulatory requirements. 

What you will be doing: 
  • Immigration Compliance & Sponsorship License Management 
    • Lead the management, renewal, and compliance of immigration sponsorship licenses across multiple markets. 
    • Ensure timely and compliant immigration processes are in line with regional requirements. 
    • Monitor changes in immigration laws and policies, proactively adapting processes accordingly. 
  • Right to Work Regulations & Verification 
    • Design, implement, and oversee robust Right to Work verification frameworks on a global scale. 
    • Partner with People Team and Talent Acquisition to ensure compliance throughout the employee lifecycle. 
  • Mobility Policy Development & Advisory 
    • Refine and enhance international assignment and transfer policies to ensure compliance and alignment with business needs. 
    • Provide expert guidance and advisory support to People Teams and business leaders on mobility matters. 
    • Support resolution of complex mobility cases. 
    • Advise on ad-hoc mobility and immigration situations, offering timely solutions to unexpected challenges. 
  • Work from Abroad  
    • Maintain and continuously improve the Work from Abroad policy. 
    • Lead the development of detailed process maps, drive automation within the HRIS, and provide training to local People Teams to ensure seamless execution. 
  • Audit Readiness & Continuous Improvement 
    • Maintain audit-ready documentation and compliance records for all global mobility activities. 
    • Lead regular audits and compliance reviews, identifying opportunities for process improvements and operational excellence. 
  • You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues
What you need to be great in this role: 
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in global mobility, immigration compliance, or related field. 
  • Strategic thinker with solid business acumen and the ability to align compliance within broader organizational goals. 
  • Deep expertise in immigration law, tax and social security regulations, and global mobility policy. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional compliance initiatives and effectively implement policies. 
  • Strong analytical skills paired with excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities. 
  • Ability to think ahead to prevent compliance risks and operational delays. 
  • Language skills (multilingualism is a big plus)   
  • Experience working in a multinational or matrixed organization. 
  • Proven track record managing sponsorship licenses and overseeing Right to Work verification processes. 
  • Hands-on experience with international assignments, business travel governance, and remote work compliance.
