As the Global Onboarding Program Manager at Okta, Inc., you will be instrumental in shaping and driving the onboarding learning journey for Okta’s new hires, contributing significantly to fostering a strong culture of learning and growth. Your role will involve managing the end-to-end logistics of onboarding programs and designing impactful learning solutions that align with Okta’s strategic objectives. This position requires a proactive, organized approach to project management and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and refine project management practices, processes, and tools to ensure a streamlined, organized approach to onboarding.
- Lead the Global Onboarding program end-to-end, ensuring projects stay on track, meeting established timelines and milestones while communicating progress effectively to stakeholders.
- Deliver dynamic, impactful learning through various channels (synchronous, asynchronous, digital, hybrid), enhancing learner engagement and retention.
- Design engaging course content, leveraging interactive media, audio, video, and multimedia elements, ensuring alignment with key learning objectives.
- Convert existing instructor-led training to virtual instructor-led, eLearning, or instructional video formats as needed, optimizing content for a digital experience.
- Continuously review and evaluate content, recommending and implementing enhancements that improve effectiveness and relevance.
- Own the onboarding journey listening strategy and report out on feedback in a timely and effective manner.
- Coordinate across functional onboarding programs to ensure there is a connected thread across all onboarding programs at Okta.
- Facilitate learning sessions as needed and support program delivery to various levels across the business.
- Up to 20% of the travel expectations are within the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
Relationships:
- Work closely with Talent Development and Experience, Business Technology, People Operations teams, cross-functional business colleagues, and other stakeholders to collaboratively design and develop learning solutions that support the Global Onboarding journey.
- Build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships across global teams, navigating diverse personalities and functional disciplines effectively.
- Serve as a reliable point of contact for teammates and leadership, ensuring all stakeholders are kept up-to-date on project timelines, milestones, and any potential changes.
- Partner with learning design to incorporate multimedia elements and digital design tools that elevate the learner experience.
Education and Experience Requirements
- 4+ years in Human Resources with exposure to learning and development, onboarding, people operations
- Organized with a strong attention to detail
- Passion for learning and development
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and sustain relationships
- Solid and persuasive verbal, written, and consulting communication skills; strong presentation skills
- Anticipates challenges and problems and proactively takes action to address them
- Lead and drive customer empathy to deeply understand the challenges of our Customers

Below is the annual On Target Compensation (OTE) range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual OTE, which is inclusive of base salary and incentive compensation, will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable) and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
