In Sofia  we are looking for the Global Process Owner Record to Report  for our Global Accounting team.

This role will play a crucial part in advancing SumUp to a world-class level of Financial processes through implementing robust but light-weight processes, leveraging time-saving automation, and empowering our talented teams all over the world. What will you do: 

• Possess full ownership of global Record to report area (R2R) processes and act as a subject matter expert
• Build and lead an efficient global team in R2R area
• Provide both strategic as well as tactical insight into global processes, automation opportunities, and future-state developments for our global R2R process
• Develops strategy collaboratively and establish policy of a global nature for the organization’s R2R activities
• Execute global deployment and adoption of the R2R processes with regional and local customization as needed
• Contribute to selection of tools, techniques and systems according to architectural requirements and demands
• Analyse, develop new and adjust existing end to end processes/ services, standards or operational plans, and deliver results with direct impact on R2R process
• Participate in our ERP and system enhancements, and drive communications and change management activities including training to prepare the organization for continuous process improvements
• Stay abreast of current accounting, business process trends, and leading practices occurring in the industry to inform strategic direction and process enhancement including artificial intelligence (AI)
• Lead M&A integration activities for R2R and participate in global transformational and cross-functional process and system improvement initiatives to drive efficiencies and scalable end-to-end processes to ensure our P2P processes are meeting the needs of the global business
• Understand SumUp process in R2R area in all locations and lead their standartisation
• Review and optimise month-end closing procedures in R2R area
• Support the internal controls process design and implementation and advice on improvement areas
• Work closely with internal audit and external auditors to ensure all compliance activities are properly executed in a timely manner

You’ll be great for this role if

• You have 5+ years of accounting experience in R2R process or general accounting experience
• You hold a Bachelor’s degree (BA) or Master's degree in Accounting
• You possess ACCA certification or similar relevant certifications
• You have an advanced knowledge of ERP, MS Office and process mapping tools (Miro, Licudchart, etc.)  
• You have process knowledge, process mapping experience and subject matter expertise
• You have project management and change management skills and thrive in a fast paced environment
• You have strong communication skills and you are as persuasive in English both written and spoken as in your mother tongue
• You can easily translate strategic decisions into tasks 
• You have people management skills, you lead by example and inspire teams and individuals to grow
• If you have good systems understanding, which would be a strong advantage for this role.
