Role: Global Strategy Director (18m FTC)

About the role:
We have recently launched AI Studios across several markets, and we're expanding this model to other brand categories for one of our biggest global clients. We also lead social strategy for a large portfolio of the client's brands.
Our current strategy leader is shortly departing on maternity leave, so we need a global strategy director to join our Studio team as maternity cover. We're looking for someone with deep expertise across diverse markets, and proven experience of using Gen AI to guide and shape creative work. An understanding and appreciation of the emerging strategic and creative possibilities of Gen AI is a must. As is a passion for hands on use and exploration of these new tools.
This role will be responsible for guiding and directing the strategic work done in our AI Studios, as well as mentoring our AI Studio strategists. It will also provide hands on guidance and oversight of our ongoing social strategy work for the client's brands. It will also guide the roll out of additional AI Studios, based on the model already established for the client's existing brands.
This is a senior role, working with senior client stakeholders and partners at The Brandtech Group.
What you will be doing:- Hands on leadership of the strategy team within AI Studio
- Mentoring and guiding the AI Studio strategists
- Ensuring strategy and outputs are top class
- Developing and sharing best practice across the teams and with clients
- Working with senior clients to ensure AI Studio is integrating seamlessly with other agency partners and to optimize strategic ways of working
- Championing a 'culture that converts' strategic approach for our client's brands
- Hands on strategic leadership of big social strategy projects
- Fostering an environment of identifying and sharing audience and cultural insights across social, strategy and creative teams
- Partnering other agencies to ensure their thinking is informed by social first insight
- Thought leadership in the client's industry
- Ensuring strategy, social and creative teams are up to date with the latest trends on social
- Supporting the roll out of additional AI Studios
- Adapting the strategic ways of working already developed for existing AI Studios
- You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues
- Deep experience and expertise in consumer brands across global markets – particularly in terms of how brands behave in social channels
- Recent experience of working with global brands – particularly in social channels
- Ability to work in close partnership with creative teams and creative directors to turn the latest relevant cultural trends into actionable creative inspiration
- Hands on experience of using AI tools for strategy development, and a good appreciation of the current capabilities and strengths of different creative Gen AI tools
- Ability to build strong relationships with senior client stakeholders
- Experience in managing other strategists
