Job Description

The Global Payments team at HelloFresh is responsible for processing payments periodically as a subscription business, ensuring customers are able to pay seamlessly with their preferred payment method and managing customer profitability through payment initiatives impacting retention. 

As the Director of Global Payments at HelloFresh, you are the end to end  P&L managing a cross-functional team of business, commercial, product & analytics leads. On a day to day basis you will be working with internal stakeholders from various functions such as growth, retention, commercial, finance etc. and also with external partners such as third party payment providers. 

• Lead various functions of Payments such as business, commercials, product & analytics etc. and be the single threaded leader for payments.
• Define vision & mission from a mid-term (2-3 years) perspective and work with various leads internally to define yearly strategy & product roadmap.
• Manage and communicate regularly with other senior leaders in the business & product function to understand their roadmap and dependencies on Payments.
• Own monthly communication on metrics/ initiatives to leadership & stakeholders on behalf of global payments teams such as update packs, steering deliverables, quarterly reviews. 
• Monitor closely the performance of the metrics in the Payments KPI tree, connect the metrics to the macro company level KPI tree  and work with different owners inside Payments to ensure continuity in the expected direction.
• Evaluate existing 3rd party partnerships within payments & fraud domains, assess new 3rd partnerships from a long term strategy perspective and look for opportunities for new partnerships from an additional data point perspective.

• Data driven - Connect the reporting dashboards and detailed analysis presented by the teams to the company level goals and question the trends with a hands-on attitude. 
• Detail-oriented - Careful and thorough in accomplishing tasks, managing initiatives, ensuring that one’s own and others’ work and information are complete and accurate.
• A skilled communicator - Communicates the results of Payments initiatives to various audience levels such as business stakeholders, country leadership, senior management etc.
• A collaborator and value partnerships - Develop business relationships with internal senior leaders and external partners such as third party vendors to improve performance.

• 10+ years of professional experience. Preferably in product and payments at a consumer facing or payments/financial services company.
• Experience in growth, retention and subscription topics is nice to have. 
• A product mindset such as relentless prioritization, incremental product development, customer obsessions and analytical rigor.
