GNPD Coverage – Beauty Innovation Research Coordinator, China
Mintel is seeking a motivated professional to fill the position of Research Coordinator as part of the GNPD Coverage - Beauty Innovation team. The purpose of this role is to track innovation and new product activity in China and create specialized shopping lists for our field associates.
Reporting to the Beauty Innovation Coverage Manager based in London, this role is responsible for implementing the methodology for beauty innovation in China. You will be responsible for the management of our BI coverage and field associates in China, including assisting them with daily queries, delivering training, managing their workload and implementing methodologies.
The role also involves occasionally attending industry trade shows locally, and the candidates must be articulate and presentable, and prepared for some physical work at times. Additionally, the role also requires data entry and writing product concepts in English, for which good attention to detail is essential.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Monitoring new product launches in the Chinese market for prestige and masstige beauty categories
- Creating shopping lists and secondary coverage of new product launches
- Monitoring brand activity and innovation
- Writing about and presenting innovative product concepts to the wider team
- Communicating with contacts via email, telephone, and/or face-to-face
- Maintaining lists of sources
- Liaising with other members of the Beauty Innovation Team, Coverage, Operations and Research
- Attending trade shows when applicable
- Ad Hoc research projects
- Data entry when required
- People management - providing daily direction to our network of field associates by assisting them with their day-to-day queries
- Approving invoices and ensuring field associates are paid accurately and on time
- Managing change in line with the needs of the business

- Are happy with a flexible schedule
- Comfortable with spreadsheet applications
