Go-to-Market Lead - Bank First Mission
SumUp is a global FinTech player on a mission to support small merchants with building a thriving business all over the world.
You will be instrumental in transforming SumUp from a single product company to a leading product-ecosystem provider.
As a Go-to-Market (GTM) Lead you will spearhead end-to-end responsibility for the Bank First mission, setting ambitious business targets, and cultivating a highly motivated cross-functional team. You will drive growth metrics, oversee product improvement initiatives, and foster strong stakeholder connections to ensure market fit and success in achieving organizational objectives.
This role offers the opportunity to make an impact as the commercial leader of one of SumUp’s most important new products.
The role is based in one of our offices across Berlin, London or Paris.
What you’ll do
- Own the Bank First GTM and make it your personal mission to make it successful and hit the targets
- Lead the Bank First GTM team and be THE point-of-contact for all Bank First related GTM questions. Sets the targets and priorities for your team, ensures all channels efforts are targeted and aligned, evaluates the delivery and provides feedback.
- Further develop go-to-market strategy and a 6-12 months execution plan by collaborating with key stakeholders (Bank Tribe, Channel & Chapter Leads and the EU GTM leadership team) to identify and define growth opportunities, set ambitious growth goals, and devise strategic plans to achieve them.
- Together with the channel experts in your team, leverage data and metrics to measure the success of growth initiatives, identify areas of improvement, and make data-driven decisions to optimise performance continually.
- Encourage your channel experts to conduct A/B testing and experimentation to validate hypotheses and find effective ways to improve user acquisition, activation, and retention strategies.
- Stay ahead of market trends, customer behavior, and the competitive landscape, and ensure that these insights are communicated to the product team to stay informed and capitalize on potential growth opportunities
- Identify potential partnerships and collaborations with other fintech companies, financial institutions, or relevant entities to expand the customer base and reach new markets
You’ll be great for this role if
- You have 5+ years experience in Marketing, Growth Roles or Product Marketing
- You have experience in setting up, leading and evaluating multiple complex projects, including resource planning, effective risk and stakeholder management
- You have experience in developing a strategy for executing growth campaigns across performance marketing, CRM, retail, and partnership channels
- You have excellent "business case" acumen and finesse in making quick, rough business assessments ("back-of-the-envelope" calculations) to evaluate strategies and decisions.
- You are great at inspiring and fostering a culture of open feedback within teams, facilitating growth in giving and receiving feedback among team members.
