As the Go-to-Market Leader for EMEA Retail and consumer Goods, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the industry's future by driving a dynamic go-to-market strategy. Your leadership will be key in accelerating growth across Retail, Consumer Goods, Restaurants, and Wholesale services, focusing on expanding revenue, increasing market share, and securing new strategic partnerships.

As a strategic business leader for Retail & Consumer Goods at Databricks in EMEA, you will set the course for success and will cultivate strong executive relationships with customers and partners, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Databricks to drive impactful outcomes.
This is an exciting opportunity to travel, engage with industry leaders at conferences, and foster meaningful connections with customers and teams. You will report to the VP of Retail, Manufacturing, and Communications and contribute to the company's ongoing growth and innovation.
The impact you will have:

Develop and Execute Global Strategy: Contribute to the global go-to-market strategy for the Retail & Consumer Goods sector by creating a robust growth plan, establishing strong C-level relationships with key customers, cultivating ecosystem partnerships and alliances, and driving the acquisition of new customers and revenue growth.

Strategic Account Planning: Collaborate with sales and pre-sales teams to design detailed go-to-market plans at the regional and segment level, and assist with translating to strategy accounts, ensuring alignment and execution across global markets for the vertical.

Foster Strategic Partnerships: Build and nurture strategic relationships with key Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), System Integrators (SIs), and other ecosystem partners to strengthen the go-to-market ecosystem and enhance collaborative growth.

Identify and Address Operational Gaps: Utilize data-driven insights to identify operational gaps within each sub-segment of the go-to-market strategy. Develop and implement targeted improvement plans to optimize business opportunities and execution.

Develop and Scale Sales Initiatives: Partner with Sales Programs and cross-functional teams to create comprehensive sales plays that are scalable and tailored to different geographies, primarily focusing on EMEA while supporting efforts in the Americas and APJ.

Establish Thought Leadership: Serve as an industry thought leader by authoring white papers, speaking at key events, and engaging with C-suite executives, positioning Databricks as a trusted authority in the Retail & Consumer Goods sector.
- Serve as a Trusted Advisor: Build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders within Databricks, including product, sales, pre-sales, marketing, and partner teams, acting as a trusted advisor and influencer.

Collaborate with Marketing: Work closely with marketing teams to develop industry-specific content, collateral, blogs, and demand generation plans that resonate with the Retail & Consumer Goods audience

Lead Key Industry Events: Deliver keynote presentations at major industry events and lead the planning and execution of Databricks-hosted events focused on the Retail & Consumer Goods sector.

Senior Executive Experience in Retail or Consumer Goods: Proven track record as a senior leader or practitioner in the Retail or Consumer Goods industry, with deep industry expertise and strategic insight.

Development of Industry GTM programs: Extensive experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to build and deploy vertical solutions on existing technology platforms, delivering significant revenue growth and customer value.

Go-to-Market Strategy and Execution: Skilled in working with sales and pre-sales teams to develop comprehensive go-to-market sales kits and strategies that drive market penetration and business expansion.

Executive Relationship Building: Exceptional ability to engage with senior executives (CXO, IT, and Business Leaders), establish strategic relationships, and create opportunities for business development.

Driving Transformational Change: Demonstrated success in leading large-scale transformation initiatives within Retail or Consumer Goods organizations, with a strong grasp of both technical and business decision-making processes in complex environments.

In-depth Knowledge of Technology Landscape: Strong familiarity with the technology ecosystem, data standards in Retail & Consumer Goods, experience with data and AI systems, and broader technology trends within the Retail & Consumer Goods sector.

Expertise in Global Regulations: Comprehensive understanding of key global regulations affecting Consumers, Supply Chain, and Security, with a particular emphasis on European regulatory requirements.
- Program Management for Vertical Solutions: Hands-on experience in managing vertical solutions, including gathering and prioritizing business requirements, coordinating with technical teams to meet timelines, collaborating with marketing for asset development and event planning, and managing partner relationships to achieve key milestones.
