As an engineer on the Guest Engagement team, your mission will be creating the next generation of engagement experiences that help bring new guests into the restaurants, and turn them into regulars. You will work closely with UX, PM and QA to help deliver some real impact on real people.

• Design, build and maintain high performing, flexible and scalable solutions
• Build APIs for easily accessing our data internally and externally
• Create products and features that help restaurants run best in class guest experience
• Collaborate with team members and other engineers across the company

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Qualities & Essential Skills)

• Strong experience with Kotlin, Java or another object-oriented language, with a deep understanding of testing, quality & best practices.
• The ability to take complex business problems, and create easy to use solutions at scale.
• Experience supporting and debugging a large multi threaded application.
• The capacity to tackle complex and ambiguous problems, communicate clearly with others to solve the problem, and share knowledge to help the whole team succeed.
• Proficiency in delivering projects to customers under strict deadlines.
• Prior experience making an impact on a previous project, product or within an organization.
• Exposure to distributed systems, scaling challenges, SaaS, SQL, JS, RabbitMQ, Pulsar, and Android are a plus.

• React SPAs leveraging Tailwind, GraphQL and Storybook.
• Android app built in Java & Kotlin running in the restaurant.
• PostgreSQL and DynamoDB as core persistence.
• Pulsar, Camel and RabbitMQ for message-based integrations.
