At Trustpilot we're on an exciting journey. We're a cash-rich FTSE 250 business that's investing strategically in our future — and in yours. With a presence across multiple international markets and a central London office, we operate with strategic focus and purpose. Now, we're looking for a Head of Accounting to lead, modernise, and help future-proof our group finance function.
This is a career-defining opportunity for a finance leader with proficient technical skills, a commercial mindset, and a keen interest in managing change. Reporting directly into senior leadership, you’ll play a key role in enhancing and helping scale what the function delivers — not just managing the numbers but transforming how finance works and delivers value across the business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Responsible for running the month end close process, including overseeing all general ledger operations, including reconciliations and journal entries
- Work closely with the Head of Group Reporting to ensure seamless integration between local GAAP and IFRS reporting
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and automation within the accounting function to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Analyse monthly numbers to ensure accuracy and to provide insight to support decision-making across the Group
- Support the external audit process by providing relevant accounting information and explanations where necessary and improve the financial internal control framework
- Oversee cost centre management and ensure integrity of the finance data structure, along with providing guidance on cost allocation methodologies
- Oversee consolidated group cash flow forecasting and liquidity analysis
- Lead a small team of accounts payable, ensuring a control environment and good payment practices
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of accounting professionals
Who you are:
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent), who has a solid technical grounding in IFRS and significant experience in group finance, accounting leadership, or financial reporting
- Well-versed in systems, with direct experience using Unit4 or a comparable ERP, and a keen interest in evolving finance system architecture
- Motivated by the opportunity to build and optimize — not just maintain
- Commercially fluent and methodical, with a clear communication style and a collaborative mindset
- A strategic thinker who thrives in complex environments but still enjoys getting involved practically
- Skilled in collaborating and influencing senior stakeholders and presenting clear insights to drive business performance
- Dedicated to continuous improvement, digital tools, and modern finance practices
What’s in it for you:
- A range of flexible working options to dedicate time to what matters to you
- Competitive compensation package + bonus
- 25 days holiday per year, increasing to 28 days after 2 years of employment
- Two (paid) volunteering days a year to spend your time giving back to the causes that matter to you and your community
- Rich learning and development opportunities are supported through the Trustpilot Academy and Blinkist
- Pension and life insurance
- Health cash plan, online GP, 24/7, Employee Assistance Plan
- Full access to Headspace, a popular mindfulness app to promote positive mental health
- Paid parental leave
- Season ticket loan and a cycle-to-work scheme
- Central office location complete with table tennis, a gaming corner, coffee bars and all the snacks and refreshments you can ask for
- Regular opportunities to connect and get to know your fellow Trusties, including company-wide celebrations and events, ERG activities, and team socials.
- Access to over 4,000 deals and discounts on things like travel, electronics, fashion, fitness, cinema discounts, and more.
- Independent financial advice and free standard professional mortgage broker advice
- Talent acceleration programs: Fast-track your career with our tailored development programs designed to support growth at whatever stage of your career
- Private Medical Insurance
