The role in a nutshell:

We’re looking for a highly strategic and execution-focused Head of Corporate Development to drive our inorganic growth strategy, including M&A, investments, and strategic partnerships. You will be a key member of the Strategy and Finance team, working closely with the executive team to identify, evaluate, and execute transactions that accelerate our company's mission and execution of our strategy.This role requires a blend of financial acumen, strategic thinking, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to manage complex, end-to-end deal processes including integration planning. You will be instrumental in shaping the future trajectory of the company by identifying opportunities that provide significant strategic value and measurable impact on our long-term objectives.You’ll be hands-on in financial modeling and due diligence, while also possessing the executive presence to represent the business externally, source opportunities, negotiate terms, and present recommendations to the Board and executive team.

 

Your mission will be:

- Strategy & Opportunity Sourcing

  • Partner with the executive team, business unit leaders, and product teams to define and align on the company’s corporate development strategy, identifying key growth areas, capability gaps, and strategic targets (M&A, investments, strategic partnerships).
  • Proactively source, research, and evaluate potential acquisition, investment, and partnership opportunities that meet strategic and financial objectives for the business.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of target companies and stay current on market trends, competitor activity, and disruptive technologies in our core and adjacent markets.

 

- Transaction Execution

  • Own the end-to-end transaction lifecycle, including initial contact, strategic rationale development, valuation, due diligence coordination, negotiation, integration planning, and closing.
  • Develop comprehensive financial models, including valuation (DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions), synergy analysis, and returns analysis.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional due diligence teams (Legal, Finance, Product, Engineering, HR) to assess key risks and opportunities.
  • Draft and present detailed strategic and financial recommendations to senior management and the Board of Directors.

 

- Post-Transaction Integration

  • Collaborate with executive team and functional leaders to develop and execute effective post-merger integration plans, ensuring successful realisation of transaction synergies and strategic objectives.

 

- Strategic Partnerships

  • Work alongside business development teams to structure and negotiate strategic alliances and commercial partnerships that complement the organic and M&A strategies.

 

A little about you:
  • 8+ years of experience in Corporate Development, Investment Banking (M&A focus), Private Equity, Strategy, or Venture Capital, preferably with exposure to the relevant industry/sector (e.g., technology, fintech, or digital assets).
  • Deep expertise in M&A process management, deal structuring, valuation, and complex financial modeling.
  • Proven ability to identify and articulate strategic rationales for acquisitions and investments.
  • Exceptional project management skills, capable of coordinating multiple workstreams and managing cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of synthesizing complex information into clear, actionable insights.
  • A proactive, results-oriented mindset with a high degree of intellectual curiosity and ownership.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field; MBA is a plus.
