Betsson Group is looking for an experienced Head of Employee Engagement to join our award-winning HR team in Malta to support our global organisation across multiple locations.

In this key role, you will be part of a 45 strong global talented HR team, working across our locations. This role will see you lead our focus on Employee Engagement, driving our commitment to be the employer of choice within our industry.  

Working from the Malta headquarters, you will report to the Chief HR Officer, collaborating closely with key stakeholders and the HR team for consistency and to create understanding of what a good employee experience is.

The Head of Employee Engagement will work closely with key stakeholders to continue to deliver the best employee experience in the iGaming industry.  

The Head of Employee Engagement will be responsible for: 

  • Developing and implementing the global Employee Engagement strategy to promote a positive employee experience, including employee engagement, wellness, and retention initiatives. 
  • The Global Employee Engagement project plan, including budgets. 
  • Key member of the HR Leadership Team supporting our goal to provide the best employee experience in the industry. 
  • Owning global HR policies and ensuring local implementation. 
  • Driving continuous improvement of the employee experience through data analysis, benchmarking, and best practises research.  
  • Aligning with local HR teams across our locations, ensuring the planning and coordination of global employee activities and events. 
  • Driving initiatives around our Betsson culture and values.  
  • HR communications, including our HR newsletter and communication plans connected to global projects.   
  • Coordinate the Betsson Social Impact committees, bringing the local initiatives to the Betsson Social Impact Board.  

 

You're good at..
  • Employee Engagement - you are a seasoned HR professional with at least 6 years’ experience, ideally gained from the iGaming industry or a fast-paced digital environment. 
  • Leadership – you have at least 4 years’ experience leading both directly and indirectly, being able to motive and influence teams and key stakeholders. 
  • Strategy - you are forward thinking with the ability to plan ahead to ensure our organisation is fully engaged with employee experience.  
  • Being hands on and flexible – it is all about getting the job done.  
  • Thinking creatively and critically – you look at new ways of engaging and driving the employee experience agenda forward. 
  • Communication - especially in written and spoken English, any other language would be an advantage!  
  • Presentation skills – whether that be in a meeting or taking the stage at a Company event.  
  • Relationship building - working across all levels in the organisation.  
  • Change – you have dynamic approach and thrive in this kind of environment, where you can impact real change. This is a strong motivator. 
  • Multi-tasking - you enjoy working on multiple projects, always taking the initiative, and driving results. 

 

A flavour of what you’ll be doing..
  • Leading one direct report dedicated to Employee Engagement and indirectly leading different HR team members across our locations.  
  • Working hands-on with local HR teams to devise and implement employee engagement plans and activities such as Summer and Winter parties.  
  • Responsible for the planning and execution of internal sports events and celebrations in conjunction with for example the UEFA World Cup.  
  • Owning the wellbeing activity project plans, such as local sport tournaments and marathons. 
  • Owning the coordination and support of global social clubs.  
  • Overseeing the global Office and Facility project plans, including opening of new offices.
