The Head of Finance, who reports to the Group CFO (with a dotted line with the MD), plays a leading role in driving our financial activities, business analysis and administrative support (Admin, Legal, HR…), underlying data and operational processes.

This position sits in Hamburg.

The job purpose is to ensure organization compliance, quality and efficiency.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support the production of yearly budgets and revenue forecast;
  • Work with the team to build the yearly operating plan, manage the annual financial planning process;
  • Drive monthly accounting close and financial reporting processes for P&L, and balance sheet reporting in accordance with IFRS;
  • Manage Tax filing and compliance to local law and regulations for each market in the region;
  • Review, analyze and interpret monthly financial results to be translated into business decisions;
  • Manage and track Germany financial scope responsibilities;
  • Calculate monthly commission accrual & quarterly commission reports as well as margins;
  • Cash-Flow planning and management including collection actions with clients and business partners;
  • Manage Office Managers direct reports and related teams as well as third-parties Financial counterparts such banks;
  • Prepare powerpoint presentations for C level executives;
  • Support yearly company audits to get accounts certification in compliance with laws and regulations for each territory along with IFRS consolidations;
  • Manage administrative and legal compliance of the company.

 

Requirements

  • Master degree in Finance, or similar field
  • 5 years of business experience
  • Have knowledge of the accounting and regulatory environments that affect Accounting, Tax, and Finance
  • Advanced MS Excel experience and comfortable with MS PowerPoint
  • Prior use on an ERP, SQL experience preferred
  • Proven ability to successfully lead and manage others with ability to work in cross-functional teams and successfully manage projects to completion
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver executive-level presentations, particularly the ability to simplify and explain complex problems to different audiences
  • Ability to thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving high growth environment, balancing multiple challenging priorities on tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize diverse tasks with a proven ability to meet hard deadlines
  • Ability to work with a cross-cultural team that operates in different regions
  • Proven history of being an independent contributor
  • Previous history of working in digital advertising a plus
